Thanks everyone for the kind words! I plan on making a few more videos showing off what can be done with the flipper zero, as well as some more hardware hacking videos in general. I get my implants from Dangerous Things: www.dangerousthings.com I'm not sponsored by them, but they're absolutely fantastic, and I want to spread the word whenever I can.

Oh. I feel sad for getting rid of my implants a few years ago. They were neodymium magnets and starting to break up. Installed in 2012 and removed around 2016. Not a bad run.
@LevisLabOfficial
@LevisLabOfficial 2 жыл бұрын
@@destoo0 there's some better options now! For lifting magnets, dangerous Things sells the xG3, which is glass encapsulated. For a combination of sensing and lifting, they have the Titan which is encased in laser-welded titanium. Both are super durable and have lifetime warranties. Highly recommended if you feel like replacing your magnets.

@@derpissi I use mine to unlock my PC, store my contact info (can tap it on people's phones to give them my contact info), unlock my safe, etc. I also store a link to my website on one of my implants, with my resume. When I'm at conferences, I can just have people tap my implant, and it'll automatically open it on their phone. At one point, I used mine as my key to start my car, thanks to a custom ignition board I created.

The only thing I've ever done with computers is use them and upgrade the hardware which is very simple. I know nothing about software or hacking or anything like that. I just happen to stumble across this device. It's absolutely amazing to me what you're doing. Although I understand technology and understand for the most part what you are doing so I fully understand the capabilities. And it's making me want to learn more. Like I want to buy this device and learn everything I can about it and what it can do. Which will obviously lead me down other paths of technology related stuff. I think I just started my road to being a hacker. Lol Thanks for the info

If you have a safe, the only thing that should be outside of it, is of course the coil and power supply if you are going the RFID route. And then you need to be careful with design. A power draw analysis or runtime analysis may reveal which bits are checked off as correct.
@LevisLabOfficial
@LevisLabOfficial Жыл бұрын
If I cared more about that particular safe, sure. I did it as a quick conversion, to hold a few non-essential items in my dorm (spare keys, gift cards, lockpicks, etc). Not national secrets. Given how low-security UID-only RFID already is, it doesn't really matter. Security through obfuscation is a valid approach when you're just trying to defend from guests snooping or the occasional kleptomaniac. If someone wanted to target me, there's bigger things to worry about.

So, if someone shakes your hand while wearing a glove with an NFC reader hidden inside it, they could steal your authentication info?
@DFX2KX
@DFX2KX Жыл бұрын
Hypothetically? yes. though you have to know where the capsule is with some precision. NFC is meant not to work over any real distance so it's not like they could do it from across the room, but the risk is there. I might use it as a single factor in MFA, though. Chip, code, AND card wouldn't be bad for something higher security.

@LevisLabOfficial 2 жыл бұрын
With updates, the flipper will become (and already is) one of the best tools to carry. However, it can't do everything, and there's a lot of low level functionality it's missing. It's a bit like a Swiss army knife. It can do a lot, but if you need to make delicate cuts, you need an X-ACTO knife, not a pocket knife 😉 For RFID, both 13.56MHz and 125KHz, you can't do better than a Proxmark 3. A PM3 Easy is pretty affordable, and it's the ultimate RFID tool. Generally needs a separate computer to do anything, but there is an android app that has limited functionality. For radio, an RTL-SDR is a cheap introduction, but it's only a receiver, no transmit capabilities. A HackRF is an excellent excellent tool, it can transmit at low power. I love mine, but it's very pricy. Once the flipper is readily available, it'll definitely be a fantastic option for an introductory device.
