Another entertaining episode. The new gold recap at the end was nice actually! You could make it even simpler: TSM Ledger. Its overview shows a nice graph of raw gold growth. And there is also a detailed tab where you can click Revenue, filter by this character, and get a list of all items that sold in chronological order! Just scrolling through that would be a nice way to show off all the sales.

look at bronze bars. Most servers its crafting cost to make it, BUT each craft nets you 2 so that is 100% profit on each craft. I buy the mats at 50s and sell each bronze bar 45-55s each but since I craft 2 each time its pure money. I sell about 300-500 a day

once youre done with this series as a proof of concept id suggest you make a couple videos explaining what you would do in an organic scenario eg more than 1g start, without arbitrary level or prof restrictions. a real scenario where someone has a main they leveled up and has a bank alt to manage inventory and buy/sell from a city. essentially you could discuss setting up an alt as an enchanter for de/mat conversion, what you might pair with it and what to consider based on your main's profs or if its worth it to hit level 35 for two 300 skill profs. explain a bit more in depth how to use the more involved addons and what you use them for. tips for vanilla bc wotlk servers fresh vs established. back when i played retail i made a lot of gold on the AH but it was viable bc the ratio of casuals posting things for too little and consuming materials/crafted stuff etc in relation to the number of "pros" was much better. now its all raiders and private server veterans and bots scouring everything like locusts so it doesnt work as well as it used to but i think theres still some potential what with blizzard making fresh servers and likely intending to make "seasons" of dif xpacs. i guess im glad there are people still enjoying themselves but i made my account in tbc, quit at end of mop came back for classic bc i had missed it the first time around but recently have become so disgusted with blizzard i realized i had to admit the people that made the blizz games i enjoyed in my youth are long gone. its just corporate parasites living off the corpse of these franchises. i put through a request to have my account deleted it made me a little sad but also i feel better its like i am free of an abusive relationship or something.

One godlike flip I usually do is Hardened Adamantite Tubes. There's about a 50G markup on them, and you can start as low as buying the Adamantite Ores, and work your way up there to the 3 required Hardened Adamantite Tubes.

Market is too smart on my server. Flipping is still possible, but not to the extent I see from your videos. What has worked on my server though is converting Netherweave Cloth into Bolts as the cloth is typically really cheap between 13-15s per one. So 6 of those into a bolt are 78 to 90s. I usually end up selling them for around 1g 55s+ which is pretty good margins overall considering how many you can have crafted. If the bolts are showing to not be worth it, any cloth selling for under 15s can be crafted into bandages and vendored for profit.

Nice project, but I feel like you can't just dump everything on the AH once or twice a day and expect everything to sell. You have to sell things in smaller batches. You'll save on AH posting costs.

However, I like just dumping everything every day, since it shows people that, while that method isn't always great. Even if you have 1h a day or 30m a day, you can still do what i'm doing. I can get clefthoof meat for 20s or so. Sell roasted clefthoof for 40s and sometimes 60-70s. But the market can be ruthless with constant undercutting and limited number of people who need it. But it is the only strength food in the game. I’d suggest just looking at the meat/fish prices and the cooked product price, as everything is server dependent. Sell in stakes of 1. I could probably flip more if I sold for less, but I choose profit margin of quantity.

@@nicb6869 as a warlock I'm focised only on the spell power food, crunchy serpent and blackened bassilisks, if something don't sell I keep it for raiding, but 99% of them sells, the trick is to sell by stack of 5, not stack of 20 becouse ppl say ah fck it this is just too much for food buff, but meanwhile stack of 5 is more expensive, you can sell it from 7 to 11 gold, being still profitable, there is so much bots farming the basilisk in hellfire on Firemaw thats why I buy the chunk o basilisk for 50 silver 60 silver, and sell the food buff for 2g+

Great episode! You inspired me and i'm trying the same on my server, up to 1k so far. You should also try to flip khorium ore to bars. Along with flipping knothide leather, this has been a very decent source of gold, with profit sometimes up to 100% of the investment! Keep it up!

he did mention in a previous episode (or different video entirely) that he tried avoiding flipping mining stuff due to the higher vendor value making the deposit fees higher. You could see about turning some of your khorium bars into greater rune of warding. On my larger pop server it translates to almost double what the bars themselves sell for (though slightly slowly sell rate)

Unfortunately I don't beleive there's a way to track those, as far as I can tell tsm only tracks the actual items that didn't sell but not their deposit costs :/ That would of been really interesting, i'll see if possibly another addon does that job, thanks!

I've been meaning to try this one for a bit, I think there would be, but if you really want to make gold form it, you'd have to craft each component rather then buying them from the ah and then crafting the belt (ie crafting the khorium power cores yourself)

how do you know what price to sell something for? TSM seem to wildly vary the market value of items based on what it saw last scan. Some times it even uses scam prices like a piece of leather being sold for 500g

Typically I will base myself off of region sale avg, and region market value avg. I'ts not a sure proof way as a lot of servers have different prices (say if your a low pop realm, your prices will be much different then the avg server). But it gives me a better idea. As you said, market value can really be wildly off due the previous scan. Hope this helps :)

That's a good point, unfortunately no, as far as i'm aware I don't know how you'd accomplish that. I know items like ores can show their prospect value, but I think it's limited up to that. Other items, I don't believe will show their transformative values :/

@@nicb6869 nice, I loved the patience, but flipping low levels stuff like light leather is a waste of space and time, I have an alchemy maxed out all flasks but I'm pot master, 2 enchanting 3 tailors with different specs all maxed out, JC maxed out with LW almost maxed out skinning/mining/herbalism too. And got tons of mats but not much gold, now how do I flip or make a good use of my professions? I'm a raider, I invest in characters not much time into AH flipping.

I would say one of the easier ones to get into is simply utilize that potion master. Make some cheap pots (mainly mana pots or any other good potions you have, like haste or destro) on off days when the mnats are pretty cheap and flip most of them on raid days. If you want to utilize the gathering professions that's a really easy one as well. You won't be making crazy gold, like people were at launch, but you can easily sustain yourself with a few hours of gathering a week. Also some of my best flips have been items that I think will go up in value in the short term, but I could also utilize myself. So that way if they end up being duds, you can use them and it doens't feel so bad, and if you turn out to be correct, then you can make a decent amount of gold. Unfortunately there's no full proof answer, different servers have different items that work well to be flipped, but hopefully this helps you out to get started, cheers :)
