It is also one of the best resources to show budget combos for people looking to build their first PC for themselves. In looking to build for my sisters family I picked up an 11400f for $68 that I will plug in an MSI Z490-A Pro I got last spring for $40. I used it for a couple months so I know it and the ram I have work. I also got an TP-Link wifi 6/bluetooth card for $15. I am still on the hunt for an psu, case, and gpu.

Hey Elijah great breakdown. One thing I do if I have to flip a PC or some higher powered hardware is a I bring a portable power station or something of that like in my car so that I can boot the computer up in the parking lot with the buyer if need be. It can be a little expensive but worth it if you do a lot of flips, consider it a business expense. (Maybe a sponsor can send you one powerful enough to run a PC) Portable monitor helps as well

I've noticed the same thing as you regarding nicer neighbourhoods. I scored an amazing i9-9900K with z390 motherboard and 32 (4x8GB) of RAM from someone in an upscale gated community (paid $120 CAD). Even threw in a nice Corsair case for free because it was taking up space and he just wanted them gone from his place. Haha about the CPU power plug. I've had that happen a few times and sometimes I would buy a B450 or B350 motherboard that hasn't been flashed for Ryzen 3000 and wonder why it's not posting when I put a Ryzen 3000 CPU in it.

Great video. Stupid mistakes may be embarrassing but they are the easiest to solve :) Only today adding in upgrades one by one I forgot to add in the pcie power cable for the GPU and got a way too polite message upon boot telling to power down and plug in the GPU power :)

You can save yourself and the seller some time by not using those "is it still available" automated responses and instead just state your offer. I know to the buyer it's only a couple extra messages, but to the seller it can add up when they get many responses.

I flip PCs for a hobby and right now I'm only flipping PCs that is Windows 11 supported due to Windows 10 end of support approaching Oct 14, 2025. I know there are ways to install Windows 11 on unsupported PCs but who knows if Microsoft is gonna block Windows 11 updates down the line for unsupported PCs?

Too the guy who overpaid for the i3/1030 combo. Is that an oem prebuit? Does it have a decent power supply? Maybe you can sell the 1030 for $20-30 or repurpose it. Spend $30 on a i7 3770. Then maybe you can sell it a recoup you money. Your no going to be able to market that old of an i3 as a gaming computer.
