I love her. As a NICU RN, I worked with her when she was a practicing OBGYN. She was clearly way ahead of the times then and has continued to soar with valid, pertinent information that many need to hear and very few have the courage or intelligence to bring forth. What a genuine and brilliant gift Dr. Northrup is.

I'm 44 still getting period but about a week to ten days before I'm feeling sensitive and switchy and don't wanna meditate etc. Go into deep emptiness. In fact playing with local children is the only time I feel normal. My tribe are the local shop keepers. I love this woman's vibe and what she's saying. Thank you for a woman who's not all doom and gloom about things. Thank you so much for taking a completely better approach to things.

Thank you for talking openly about these topics. I went thru menopause almost with no symptoms. I credit this to living a clean life: no drugs, no alcohol, no cigs, no wine, gluten-free, mostly food cooked my me. whole food. I really believe that 80% of the medical problems have to do with what people injest, food and drink wise. also, you have to be true to yourself. best to you! !.

LOVE this💙 I'm a health 47yr old who runs 25-30 miles a week, is attending college full time (with one of my kids nonetheless!) I feel great, and really don't want to bother with pharmacology for this eventual transition (hasn't happened yet). Thank you for the info 😃👍 Oh, also: I didn't start running until 39 and it was to help with feelings of depression. After I got physical I felt Soo much better and no longer had any depression symptoms.

Oh, I thank you for this interview. How I wish I had read Dr. Northrop’s book sooner. She is like a mother giving me answers that my poor mother didn’t know. I feel like I’ve been misunderstood by my drs.(99% men) all my life. This interview confirmed so many of my feelings! God heard my prayer for menopausal help and obviously led me to the Thai herb that Dr. Northrop mentioned a few months ago. I picked it up on a discount shelf in a health food store & muscle tested it on myself to find that my body wanted it! I have MTHFR as well so the folate in it also helps. Dr. Kelly, I tell every woman whom I advise, as a pastor’s wife, to follow your website. Now I will add Dr. Northrop as well. God bless you both for caring about people as you do! - Carolyn Smith

I never had kids and I had a very traumatic childhood menopause is absolutely kicking me in the but this period of reflection is something I don't wish to go through it's just bringing back a lot of bad emotions, my partner has now left me because my depression is becoming quite severe. Menopause is highly underestimated should be more information out there and openly discussed a lot more.

I had the Dalkon Shield and it scared my cervix so when I gave birth my cervix wouldn't dilate and we almost died. I didn't figure that out until decades later. I was lucky, my friend was in so much pain and was lucky to have one child.

What happens if you can't take hormones? I'm on blood thinners,and I've been told it's too dangerous for me to take them. I've been very depressed,horrible painful intercourse, so I've stopped having sex for the last 5 yrs,and I need some answers. I've asked the doctor to check my hormone level and they never do? So what should I do?

I am with you mate. Not sure what to make of this. Who are we to believe ? Is she saying ditch the HRT and just let nature take its course ? Or she has something else you can use? All I know is that I was normal before the peri menopause started , now I am sick, frightened & miserable most of the time it seems . A year on HRT. Just found out that a blood pressure tablet I've taking for almost as long is making the anxiety worse - its actually a side effect of that drug ! Plus what she said about the statins, my mates mum has just been diagnosed as pre diabetic , after taking statins . Doctors are fucking it up all the time , I tell ya . Scary

Why do women of all ages pull out all or most of their eyebrows and then paint them again 3/4 inch up into their foreheads?? Is this a hormonal imbalance or what?
@itsaplantlife98505 жыл бұрын
Eyebrows get filled in (pencil) to make them darker. If thyroid issues (it IS a hormone, right?), the eyebrows thin out, sometimes to nothing.

American women are so body obsessed. Your Hollywood focussed culture has been such a negative influence on you. I and most of m peers went through menopause without feeling we needed any medical intervention. We regarded it as our passing into cronehood , and just a natural progression on our journeys, and for nyself and others I know, liberating.
