My heart is broken today. I found out my almost 29 yr old son has a drinking problem. He’s in Ohio and I’m in South Carolina. If you don’t think that certain content on KZbin can’t help you find peace for a moment than you’re sorely mistaken. I have faith in God to help my son find help that he needs and there’s comfort in that. But sometimes watching something like flipping drawers helps my well-being for the moment. So thank you Jay. I appreciate you

You have faith in God, your son has probably faith in you. We are fathers until our last breath. I hope you are close enought to help. Wish you the best, as long as there is hope, life finds its way like the river finds its path trought the rocks. Sunny days will come back, alcool is not an unbeatable ennemi.

For what it's worth, most of my family has problems with alcohol. My sister just admitted to it in her 50s. She has turned her life around and I am so proud of her. If your son told you he has a drinking problem, I think that's wonderful! He is young enough to keep it from really hurting his health. Hang in there.

These were maybe made after WW2, wood was in very short supply for a few years after the war, furniture makers used what they could get, and then used a dark stain to hide the fact that pieces were made from a combination of woods.

For anyone watching this video... this is a restoration! A restoration is not changing the use of the piece, it is not painting the piece to cover up damage.
