This is still an underrated channel. You are doing a sterling job, Mr. P. One day your hard work will pay off.

I love you Mr. P! I really want to help you out with the fund drive but I can't do a thing and I pity myself for that. Nevertheless, thank you for all the sacrifice that you make in every video(after watching your time lapse video). I REALLY appreciate your hard work. May God bless you and one day, everything will payoff.

Thank you for the love! Do not pity yourself for your inability to donate money; it is absolutely okay. Please, learn from the videos. I give them to you for free in exchange for your love. Perhaps someday all my hard work will pay off monetarily, however, for right now I am satisfied just to know I can help you learn.

Great Video and Demonstration, There are also other factors that come to play, for instance landing on the balls of the feet, compared with landing heels first. I've seen Parkour videos of professionals leaping off of objects 3 meters of height, rolling on impact, and walking away like it was nothing, safely, due to the extra time and equally distribution of force on the body. Whoa! Physics in action ;)

Thanks, I used this video in my 9th grade engineering class to help them understand the basics of the physics of following bodies and impact.

Sir instead of tomato 🍅 we can use other characteristics material how we can find the collision time for example if we have use plastic or wood or steel what will be the change in collision time? Any constant value there? Or how we will be calculated?
@runjinyean Жыл бұрын
So, what happen if we drop a rock instead of a plastic cause, the rock doesn't has the time to slow down therefore, does the rock has 0 net force?
@jishnunayak9044 Жыл бұрын
its not 0 thats not possible, its just that the force will be a lot larger. the time is just gonna be really small.

The change in time in change in momentum section also changes and if we open up the equation of newton second law in terms of p the time cancels out 😅😅😅

I highly doubt the video is 240fps, you can catch way more frames if you were doing 240fps
@FlippingPhysics6 жыл бұрын
Interesting accusatory comment. Have you ever dropped a tomato, taken video of it, and counted the frames? What leads you to "highly doubt" my assertion the video I took was in 240 frames per second?
@FlippingPhysics4 жыл бұрын
@Visual CG I have a couple of responses to your comment: 1) Your assertion that the frame rate of the camera was 24 rather than 240 frames per second is an easily testable hypothesis. So please, find a tomato and a camera and film the impact of a tomato on concrete when dropped from roughly 1 meter off the ground. Then import the video and see for yourself. 2) You are accusing me of lying. Which I find very strange. Why would I lie about this? Especially given what I said in #1? 3) The phone you refer to is the one I used to film the tomato impact. It’s an iPhone SE which has technical specifications published online here: support.apple.com/kb/SP738?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US It says “Slo‑mo video support for 1080p at 120 fps and 720p at 240 fps”.

i have question. doesn't the change in time depends on the material strength?
@FlippingPhysics8 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. The chance in time during a collision depends on a lot of different characteristics of the colliding objects.
