Get yourself a Miasmic axe and pick. They are made in the foundry (tier 4). The axe gives you Infected Bark when chopping trees. That can be cleaned to give you Epoxy. 4 trees will give you one iron cabinet full of Epoxy. The pick gives noxious crust when mining ores in addition to the ore that you mine. Once cleaned it turns into the ore you were mining, so one node of Platinum, for example, will give up to as much as 50 more of the same ore.

Engaging the small worms at melee range seems to be the best approach, even with bows I do this. If you get into melee range quickly they don't spit at you so you avoid the main risk and a stab or two to the mouth takes them out. I tend to only use ranged weapons on worms if they are up on a ledge. Charging in and taking out the worms one at a time usually works, but you can always withdrawn and then re-enter the cave. For regular caves there seems to be fixed spawn positions that are consistent for that cave, if you exit the cave and come back in the worms will shuffle forward and spawn in those first few positions (occasionally there are two halves to the cave and they don't shuffle all the way to the start of the cave), handy if you have a spot where 3 or 4 worms all spawn in the one spot so you can divide and conquer a bit (although there has been the case with a couple of caves where its 4 worms right at the mount of the cave).

That bone armour actually looks quite badass, loving the skull-helmet aesthetic with the spinal ridges on external faces. Not sure how actually protective it would be, but mega style points for sure. I wouldn't want to fight that.

this may not get seen, but when it comes to gaming with people you enjoy playing with, you dont have as many issues altering your sleep schedule i found. I use to play with an australian as an american back when I could do so easily. my schedule for sleeping was 9am to 5pm roughly.

You know if you feed your animals they might stop making noise lol also not sure if you got the bed from daisy base but they need one to sleep. Personally, I would put it and the animals outside to get them out of the base lol

Hi flipsie, yes the front is reasonably nice, the evolution from wood to steel is like Icarus, the tower defense part is okay.. dedicated server is ok , game is based on the myth of empires engine, don’t think it’s something for you and capac to play as it is quite boring for the rest .. Just my personal opinion 😊

I think the oxygen is just an addition to your suit's oxygen supply. The air isn't toxic, it just has too little oxygen which means you need your suit's oxygen supply as a supplement to breathe down there. Your oxygen use is also increased underwater in-game which supports my theory, as the suit won't be able to filter out oxygen from the air underwater since there is no air to filter from. This also explains why environmental hazards still cause disease or injury, as the suit's filters aren't designed with that in mind (UDA cutting corners again). Your suit isn't there to provide full protection, but instead you wear it for some utility function and for the oxygen supply it provides, nothing more. No point for UDA to design strong and properly enclosed suits as that would consume more oxygen than the occupant can collect, and would be too expensive considering how many new prospectors die during their missions. So better go with cheap and simple equipment that does the job than to properly equip everyone.

Honestly i would skip iron tools. The amount of iron needed to repair them is better spent making steel instead. They last long enough to be worth the effort to repair

patching in icarus is such a pain... great how much they work on the game but the way it is patched......

IMO, the obsidian pickaxe isn't worth it. The smelted bars can't stack with the ores, obviously, which reduces the maximum amount you can bring back (since you might be coming back with, say, 50 iron ore and 6 iron bars, instead of those 6 bars being 12 ore that you could stack another 38 with), and smelted bars are _less_ dense, in terms of equivalent items per slot, than ores (ex. iron ore stacks to 50, iron bars, which are 1:2 from ore, only stack to 20, rather than 25). And it doesn't really net you anything on yield. The miamatic axe is the best for targeted yield, though it requires significant poison resist to use effectively, and the cold steel axe, which is much easier to make than the miasmatic, is imo the best option for lower-tier ores, because it effectively doubles your yield, with half of it being a _random_ ore (except Platinum and Titanium). It basically lets you whack any ore type, including silica, sulfur, and oxite in the overworld, and get anything from silica up to obsidian, super-cooled ice (for more cold steel), and gold. It's my go-to pickaxe for mid-game.

Having experienced the cold steel pickaxes this week, yeah I'd agree. Though sorting all the frozen ores is a bit of a time consuming job :P

@@Flipsie ya, it can be a pain, but man does it give you yield. Another one to check out is the miasmatic axe, it literally trivializes epoxy, once you get a cleaner crafted and powered.
