Flipthrough - “Into the Wild” Junk Journal | Jungle Explorer Theme (SOLD)

I am journal flipping today - turning the pages on all the pockets, tuck spots, embellishments and ephemera in this beautiful “Jungle Explorer” themed junk journal. This theme is a little unusual for me, but there is actually lots of beauty to be found in a jungle! I hope you will find a couple of new ideas for decorating your own junk journal pages. The journal is already sold - I made it specifically for a young man who is just starting school! I hope he likes it!

I love this journal for a young man. It should spark his imagination, and it has lots of space to write down all of his ideas and dreams. I'm curious about his age, but if that's too personal, I understand. What a great thing for him to have this journal to encourage him in his interests and in writing. This theme is dripping with deliciousness! I love how you grab patterns that I would think would only suit a particular setting and in this case, place them in the jungle and I say "Yes, Yes, Yes!" Love the patterns you chose - I checked out the two kits and they are incredible! I am just curious about one of the papers you used that I cannot see in the kits - the circular pattern at the beginning of the jorunal - it has Indigenous vibes and I love it! Kathleen, would you have another sheet of the "Chicago, Milwaukee, St Paul and Pacific Railroad" ephemera? My great grandfather, William Richardson, was the engineer on the "Flyer" that went from St Paul to Chicago. He was tragically killed in a train accident at "Stillwater Junction." He stayed with the locomotive until it stopped, jumped off, and the locomotive tipped over on him. Stillwater Junction no longer exists, but you can see pictures of the wreck if you look up John Runk Stillwater train derailment a picture will come up. The date of the accident was August 23. 1928. At the time of the picture, my great grandfather was still under the locomotive. Do you have another copy of that railroad ephemera? That was the railroad he was working for. I would love to have a copy of that. Sorry this is so long. Thank you for your consideration. Debra K

Yes, I do Debra! and I am happy to send it to you. Just send me a message on Etsy with your address. My grandfather was a telegrapher for the Southern Pacific (Central line) Railroad and also died in an accident - a fall from a baggage car. What a tragedy for your family! Life was/is risky.
