Hi great video Am also looking in two minds between tg267 and c5 . I am not a home inspector , just using it for my home to look at moisture ingress and insulation. Which would you recommend thank you

For your application, we would recommend a more affordable camera. You won't really need very high resolution or special features if you're just looking around your home for drafts and missing insulation. In the end, it comes down to your budget. Hi I’m going to start up my own business in leak finding and I was looking at the flir E54. Would that camera be good enough for that kind of work.? Or something else.???

At 320x240, the E54 should have more than enough resolution for your needs. It will also allow for very easy reporting thanks to the included FLIR Tools software. Just be aware that the main difference between E54 and other cameras in the FLIR Exx line is that E54 doesn't allow you to change lenses - it has a 24 degree fixed lens. That should be good for most indoor applications, but if you think you might need wide angle or telephoto capability then check out the E76. See them both on our site via the links below. Hey great videos on this channel. Im looking for my first thermal, and im in between the flir tg267 or flir c5. Mostly going for home inspection, some water leakage, mechanical. What would you recomend? Thanks in advance.

That's a great question. Both cameras have the same 160x120 thermal resolution, but they differ in a lot of other crucial ways. Overall, the C5 is more versatile - you can turn MSX image blending on and off as you please, while on the TG267 MSX cannot be turned off. For some applications, you might find that MSX is not useful and gets in the way, so turning it off can be important. The C5 also has better reporting capabilities since it can communicate wirelessly with your smartphone. With this feature, you can transfer images wirelessly then create reports on your phone in the FLIR Tools app. The C5 also gives you access to the new FLIR Ignite Cloud and can automatically back up your images from in the field. The C5 also has a larger screen - it is a touchscreen which you'll use to change all the camera settings. On the TG267, the interface is all buttons. That's more of a personal preference. The C5 also lets you do multiple spotmeters and a box with min/max while the TG267 only lets you do a single center spotmeter. The TG267 does have slightly better battery life and the capacity to plug in a thermocouple, but that's about it. Overall, we would recommend the C5 if you're doing regular inspections, and especially if you need to do reporting.
