I just added like 8 inches to my wingspan and wend with a smaller higher kv motor with smaller prop maiden soon to come after hurricane Ian is done

Nice, let me know how it goes when you maiden it!

You forgot to mimic the gnarly right side angle to compensate for the torque of the motor it's like 20 deg or something and that's why it pulls to the side so bad

Yeah I completely forgot to account for the torque of the motor especially given that it is much bigger than intended 🤣😁

answers all my questions! I want to build one with the stuff I have. An emax RS2205 with recommended 5045 propeller and 9 gram servos. I think it might work. do you think I should use above recommend 6" props?

If you have those 5045 props that you were talking about, I will just stick with those. 6in was good for my setup as my motor stator volume is a little bit bigger but the torque with that setup cause slight issues with the plane wanting to actually roll because of the motor's torque so a 5in propeller (5045) with the RS2205 should provide a plentiful amount of power without being too overkill. Glad I could help! Let me know if you have any other questions!

I thought it was fine 😂

Wow! Nice buliding and flying!! From my very limited experience in everything the touchy behavior and the hovering thing may be signs of a tail heavy airplane. Otherwise lots of expo is always an option... Also how did you secure your (I guess gopro) to your head?
@Adam_Carbone2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah it did seem like it might have been tailheavy despite seeming balanced so I will have to see if I can maybe move the receiver forward a little bit to help counter that and I agree that more expo or even limited rates is probably the way to go lol. In terms of the GoPro I took these two straps that can clip onto each other and ran them through a slot in the GoPro case and then close it which secure it on my head and I used the adjustable clip to tighten it accordingly, worked better than I expected, you could probably do the same thing with velcro too. Thanks for watching by the way!
