Justin, yes, a very low budget kit could do a huge amount of good in 'small child wanders off into the fields' situations. Probably want a slower airframe for greater control, and low and slow ability.

They have insane drones in law enforcement. I saw one at the local fair this year. It had thermal cameras and all.
@dangerous83332 жыл бұрын
Why? Regular camera drones with Flir cameras that can hover are way better for search and rescue. Why would you need or want something that goes 120 miles an hour and can't hover? And why would you want to to use multiple operators to accomplish what a single operator with a drone can. 🤷 Edit: You could say that something this fast could cover more ground. However, I would argue multiple drones flying slower can cover the same ground and do it more efficiently.
@dangerous83332 жыл бұрын

I cant imagine something more fun than that. Flying a real plane is much cooler but seems more of a serious ,focused task that wouldnt feel fun untill it was safely landed, this chair with crash forgiveness is just pure fun.
@marquiswilliams13373 жыл бұрын
Having followed you guys from nearly the outset of your enterprise, I have been continuously impressed by your devotion to the hobby and your innovations in the hobby. To that end, I have a suggestion for a future show. I would be interested to see a plane that could be flown with different wings, the same body and power plant, same battery, and same weight. This would mean that each type of wing would also weigh the same, as would every version. Then, the planes could be evaluated by you in terms of speed, handling, etc. It would be fascinating to see the differences, I think. Keep it up.
@lukefive62383 жыл бұрын
You guys definitely need to combine the FPV cockpit with a head tracker on the FPV goggles and a 3-axis gimbal for the FPV camera on the plane! This should be even more realistic, especially with the DJI HD FPV system!

You guys need to do a modern how to for FPV with different cost levels and include a 3D gimbal with head tracking. It has been years since you covered FPV goggles and their features and prices... cameras, headgear, antennas... You also have not done much with good starter packages for quads and planes in years also. A lot has likely changed in the industry and while the DJI stuff looks nice it is also rather expensive and lacks upgradability.
