I love that you were the first reactors I've seen who noticed the random letters throughout the house spelling out the entity name.. very cool!! 👍🏼

the biggest thing that endeared me to this particular movie was Maddison Wolfe, the girl who played Janet, who isn't even British at all, but American, from Louisiana! her accent was so spot on she fooled all the critics! the following link is a clip from the actual TV interview with the real 11 year old Janet and 14 year old Margaret: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2iqkp-Jic2Cp7c&pp=ygUedGhlIGNvbmp1cmluZyAyIHJlYWwgaW50ZXJ2aWV3

I remember when Enfield happened. The pictures were in.. uh.. maybe People Magazine (I'm pretty sure it wasn't the National Enquirer... or at least, it was in other publications). This movie goes way off from the original story. Watch "The Enfield Haunting" (2015), which is a documentary recreating much of it, but the actors are lipsyncing the actual recordings. It doesn't actually explain anything, but leaves you questioning. NOW... also watch My Amityville Horror, which is a documentary from one of the Lutz kids. Not only does he say that it was real, but that it was much worse. I'd love to see a reaction to it.

Amityville was a real life crime, Ron the oldest son murdered his entire family with a shotgun while they’re were sleeping and nobody heard a thing and all family members were found face down. The real Lorraine Warren had a small cameo in the first conjuring movie as an audience member. This movie is also an introduction to the Nun 1+2 and the main protagonist in those movies is the real life sister of the actress who play’s Lorraine Warren.

That was my biggest problem with the movie, the start of the 3rd act. All of a sudden the Warren's don't believe the family, right after experiencing and seeing the ghosts.

The Enfield Poltergeist was a famous real life case that was well publicised in the British newspapers and several documentaries. They could never work out how one of the girls talk in a deep man's voice.

Knowing a demons name doesn't necessarily give control as in like a puppet and puppeteer, it's more in power over the demon itself, giving you the power to force it back to hell. Sometimes it's not enough to just know the name of the demon, the more powerful the demon, the harder it is to gain dominion over it, you have to know the demon itself, it's purpose for existing, it's reason for being here (the target of the attack) and it's name, basically rendering any "hat tricks" useless.

As if I could love you guys anymore. I'm trying to grab a few zzzz before my 6:00am flight to Boston enroute to Salem, Mass and I see this. I can sleep when I'm dead right????? As I stated in a previous thread, after Salem, The Conjuring House is my next big paranormal investigation so this is perfect timing. Love you guys!!!! Oh, and yes, regarding the Warrens(both deceased).....I never believed them for a second. It's all about the money. There are soooo many fakers out there today...unfortunately. I can't believe people can't see through it. On another note "Valak"(the nun) is the star of this show. She's amazing!!!!

Loved this sequel. All the Annabelle movies and Nun movies were absolutely awful. Not worth watching. The only other movie in the Conjuring Universe that is worth watching is The Curse of La Llorona. There were plans for making The Crooked Man but plans stopped.
