Yay..please continue on with Conjuring 2! Some argue it's better than this one! And the third is based on a real court case in the USA known as 'the devil made me do it'. The Warrens were an amazing couple and to this day their son-in-law Tony runs their haunted objects collection we see in the movie and some of the objects are genuine replicas of the dark/evil/ haunted things they have collected during their investigations. Also I think perfectly casted these movies. I really like seeing P.W. as the good guy and V.F. does such a great job emulating Lorraine. Great reaction you two!And unlike the movie... During the making of all of the movies except the last, Mrs. Warren was on set and the crew and cast said she was the nicest, sweetest woman, and still talked about Ed with lots of love. And yes, there are the tapes from their work... and they never charged the families for doing work for them, they make their living from books, public and TV appearances, and Ed's paintings.

You are good at remembering directors, when you said not seeing is scarier than actually seeing. the haunting, the original, is that and I've heard that the director is famous for that. He got it from, I think, the director who did the original Uninvited.

Love this one so much and even to this day it is the only one in the franchise that scares me everytime that I see it. This movie has nothing to do with the real story because the real story is so much more intense so much so that when James read about it he decided not to use any of it because he wanted a pg13 rating though this movie still got a rated R rating so in my opinion he should have maybe used the actual story it's self.If you want to know the full story and what the family went through you should check out the trilogy of books called House of darkness,House of light that the eldest daughter wrote. It's full of the things she went through and the other family members went through as well. The true story also has nothing to do with the Warrens because when they came in they accidently only made things worse so they were kicked out also the family lived in that house for 10 years before moving out and never looking back. No Beth Shiva and no exorcisem either cause the mother was never posessed. This is in my opinion James Wan's best movie and yes the second one is scary and I did like that one too but this one will always have a special place in my heart cause of how James doesn't show you what there is to be scared of right away and let's the imagination fill in the blanks which to me is so much more scary and effective then showing the creature it's self. Amazing acting from everyone involved and grate reaction as always guys glad you did this one for Scary Season and that you did it as a first time watch for you both because it's so much more intense the first time round. The Warrens also delt with the Amityville case by the way so interesting that you brought that up in this reaction.

👻 👻 👻 This reaction was so much fun :) Your moms face when you first see Bathsheba atop the wardrobe lol I had the same reaction the first time i seen it. After you finish this franchise, you guys should check out The Amityville Horror. Based on the Defeo murders back in 1974 ( the house with the eye shaped windows) The Warrens also worked on that case too. 🎃 🎃 🎃

The Warren's actually made things worse! The haunting continued and they lived there for 10 years! You should read the 3 book series called "House of Darkness, House of Light" written by Andrea Perron, the oldest daughter. Their whole journey is heart wrenching!

So, The real story of the Perron family, which you can find online, was WAY worse than what they were able to put into this film. Lorraine Warren was still alive when the first two movies were written, and she actually is in one of the scenes 😊. She wanted as much reality put into this film as possible. Now, I have always been a skeptic, of everything I cannot see. I will say this, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Lorraine Warren in a bookstore (we were both browsing) before she passed away. Her personality filled the room with a warmth that is so hard to describe, she genuinely had love for every living being on this earth. Furthermore, after she introduced herself to me, she told me things that NOBODY knew. Nobody. Some things that happened a couple years later. She truly, TRULY had a connection not only with those who passed but with my complete aura. I was honored to have met her.

That's wild I would've like to have met her. I had a friend a while back that did the something similar. She told me she was gonna give me a psychic reading, so I played along thinking it was some kind of game. She proceeded to tell me things I had never told anyone. Experiences I'd had that I had just never spoken of. She knew about my roommates, and my relationship with my mother. This was after knowing her for an hour. She told me that she didn't like people to know because she was afraid they'd call her a witch and say she was doing something demonic.
