A number of people have brought up the question of the pure oxygen in Apollo 1. I was new to the Air Force in 1967 when this tragedy happened. I was a life support specialist and was trained with oxygen equipment, and one of the very first things that we learned was that we had bitter respect this stuff because it was incredibly explosive and combustible. Now if a simple one striper in the Air Force is being taught this fact, how in the hell do big brained NASA scientists not understand this, and fill the cabin with pure oxygen. All the other commenters make a very good point here.
@WinklesWorld-007xxx10 ай бұрын

Thank you for this high quality presentation. Excuse me for asking, but why would the flight support staff choose to pipe pure oxygen into the astronauts compartment? For one thing, pure oxygen is absolutely toxic to humans, which is why we breathe only a mix that includes oxygen, but never pure oxygen. Scientists that specialize in human physiology have been aware of this for a long time. For a second thing, it was and is well known by any scientist worth his rice that pure oxygen is a combustible fuel, just as easily sparked as hydrogen. So I can only conclude that this was a planned murder of those astronauts... and as far as them dying of asphyxiation goes; as fast as oxygen burns? They fried before they died. What a cold blooded horrible thing to do to these incredibly brave people. They and their families and colleagues are owed more than an apology and an admittance of guilt from those who clearly conspired to plan and see this terrible murder done. They deserve a very public declaration of that truth by all culpable parties to this heinous act.

Something that many don’t take into account is the overall air pressure within the cabin. 100% oxygen at 1 atmosphere is toxic to the human body. However if you have the same 100% mixture at a lower pressure, say, 30% of 1 atmosphere, the human body can breathe that. The issue was not entirely physiological, it saved weight which is paramount to defeating the tyranny of thrust to weight ratio. You also don’t have to worry about things like the “bends” due to rapid pressure changes in the cabin because Nitrogen is not present. After Apollo 1, which was an absolute tragedy due to poor rushed engineering choices, the cabin was redesigned in such a way that flammability was very low on the list of safety hazards. TLDR You can breath 100% oxygen at lower air pressures

I spotted a Photoshopped image in the video which needs correcting. At 1:09:29 in the documentary, a lunar surface image is shown which the narration alleges is Buzz Aldrin holding what appears to be a Freemason flag supposedly deployed during the Apollo 11 EVA. The photo is actually a shot taken by LMP Edgar Mitchell of Apollo 14 CDR Alan Shepard (AS14-66-9232) holding the American flag at the Fra Mauro lunar landing site. The image of the flag has been altered. There were no red stripes on the sleeves & legs or LEVA helmet cover until the Apollo 13 mission, and those stripes were only on the EMUs of the mission commanders. The image is not Buzz and the exact pose can be seen in the referenced photo numbered above.

Both my father (an engineer) and mother (a computer engineer) worked on the Apollo program from North American aviation in "SPACE" division and Autonetics division in Anaheim,CA. One day, my dad's close friend, Jack Tarr, (who developed the astronaut's helmet) came over to our house shortly after the fiery deaths of the 3 astronauts and showed my dad and mom (with us at the table) a letter that he had written to NASA months prior, expressing his concern about a 100 percent oxygen environment for the Apollo capsule and its potential fire hazzard. NASA responded by denying his recommendation to modify the pure oxygen cabin. After the accident, he was ordered to destroy the letter (which did not do). NASA wanted to blame North American Rockwell to wash their hands of their poor decision. Rockwell accepted the blame for the accident to placate NASA, but Jack Tarr kept the letter to cover himself in the event that there were repercussions for him, personally.

There are some features that make a shining dot a very good candidate for a UFO in any space footage. One of them would be the change of direction of movement. If one of those "debris" floating around a spaceship notoriously changes its direction, it suggests it has the property to "decide" where to go and to modify trajectories. That is, it is an object with a flight control system. There is a footage from the Shuttle times that is very hard to explain: it shows a cloud of these debris that usually encircle spaceships and it is clearly seen one of them that suddendly makes an almost 180 degrees swithch in direction and also an acceleration. That is not expectable in any of those normal debris... It was really hard to explain that scene but it was very popular. The conclusion was that the debris was passing near one of the Shuttle RCS rockets just at the moment the control system operated it and the gases jet throwed the particle away... a very rambling explanation anyway.

Always, from the very "fireflies" that followed John Glenn's Mercury capsule, spaceships are surounded by "space debris" mostly constituted by ice droplets or factory residues that in microgravity become visible. They are usually irregular in shape and small, so they tend to turn around themselves as they float by shining in an unmatched way as they expose their faces to the sun. It is curious, but the mass of the spaceship itself excerts a gravity field that keeps those particles captured around, so they are usually visible along the entire travel. For example, when SLA "petals" (SLA was the conical connector that joined command and service modules to the S-IVB or Saturn V's third stage), opened to expose Lunar module for the transposition and docking manouver to dock and extract the LM from the S-IVB, the pyros that commanded the separation of the "petals" produced an immense number of small debris which remained moving around the S-IVB for a long time. They can be seen on any footage of transposition and docking scene on any Apollo flight. from Apollo 9 through Apollo 17. After the explosion, Apollo 13 was permanently wrapped in a real "cloud" of debris that seriously hampered the astronauts to take navigational measurements using stars as reference. I do believe there are UFOs and Astronauts are certain of that. Bur don't try to find UFOs on each and every space footage you may find.
@JamesOberg10 ай бұрын
The SLA panels were also easily imaged by ground-based telescopes, but UFO bloggers hide those shots from their target audiences. BTW, small stuff stays close because often its separation speed is very low, gravity had nothing to do with it.

The moon has something like 300 million more time helium than there is on earth!! Helium is used with nuclear fusion and the moon is like a big gas station for alien life forms! These structure like objects that are seen on the moon are from ancient alien life using the moons abundance of helium!! They are so far advanced than us and know we are just in our infancy!!

@aleanufopilotftlcertified56632 ай бұрын
A microwave oven contains cooking radiation with very thin walls and a door that can be seen through. Do you curl up and die whenever you watch a bowl of soup in the microwave oven? Nowhere does it state that the Van Allen radiation belt can cook anything. Prolonged exposure can cause cancer to UNPROTECTED astronauts. Mwave oven wall tech has been known for ages and the tech is certainly used on flights through the rad belt.

I ask the same question every time the topic comes up. How did they navigate the van allen belts? The only semi answer ive found is they plotted a course through it at the thinnest point to minimize exposure. That still requires approximately 52 minutes of exposure to particles charged 100's of millions of volts. How did they measure the belts to choose the thinner area without live computer analysis? What did they use to shield them from such chagerd particles? Why can i find detailed schematics of the saturn 5 but zero info on the capsule they were in? I just dont get it.

22:39 ...."Nevertheless"? Really? Those engineers worked tirelessly to solve the pogo oscillations! It was determined to be cyclic rate inside the combustion chamber and a baffled and modied injector plate fixed the F1s problems! The remaining pogo is follpwing flights, like 13, were mostly due to the second stage and nit harmful enough to cause an abort. Apollo 13s oxygen tank that blew was found to have been dropped and damged some time before ever being installed, so even 13s issues had zero to do with pogo.The onlt harmful pogo during Apollo was repaired within injector plate upgrades inside the F1. Come on man, do some research. They even went so far as to set off small bombs inside the engine to simulate combustion instability so they could mimic the problem. Dont do a disservice to disclosure AND engineers that built the stuff by stating inaccuracies WHILE talking about lies.

The “can’t hear sound in space folks” : The sound still travels, it just doesn’t have a medium to vibrate in. There’s also nothing to stop its flow either. As soon as it interacts with matter the sound comes through. Could be the spaceship/shuttle/lab. Could be the helmet of a visor, etc. it’ll sound different for sure but you’ll still “hear” what happens locally
