Nancy: I, too, worked on the Shuttle program in the 1980-81 time frame. Specifically, I was an electronics engineering development technician, helping to develop new technology for the CCMS project, and other projects, at Martin Marietta in Littleton, CO. I know from my small piece of the pie, that whatever technology is in the public domain, from computers to communications technology to propulsion, it is at least 50 years behind the "state of the art", and very probably 75 years behind now (as Moore's Law is no longer relevant).

If anyone has noticed the footage of the interview with the crew of Apollo 11, you would think that those men would have been excited, happy, and in extremely good spirits, they had just made history by landing on the moon. Instead, they seemed very depressed and withdrawn. There was no joy among them at all. They saw something up there that scared the hell out of them, and they were ordered to keep quiet about it. Neal Armstrong became a recluse, and Buzz Aldrin became a raging alcoholic and had a complete nervous breakdown because of it. I've seen a ship about the size of a strip mall, could have easily held a crew of 25 or more, taking off from a farm field in Kentucky back in 2007. I got a good look at it, I wouldn't say it was alien because it looked like something we would build with pipes and duct work running along the sides of it. I didn't notice any windows, it was a dark grey color with five or six white lights along the bottom perimeter. It was rising slowly until it was well above the tree tops then it just took off up into space at about a 40 degree angle in a streak of light. It didn't make a sound. Triggered my flight mode and I punched the gas, like I could have out ran it. I was driving north bound on I 65 around the 68 mile marker. Me and my wife both watched it take off, I asked her, what was that? She replied, a UFO I guess. I told her OK I just wanted to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. The whole experience lasted maybe 4 seconds but it seemed like a lot longer.

The lights you describe match the number of lights seen on the side (or bottom) of these crafts as airline passengers were able to film them. Slow glide, then sharp bank angle and poof - gone. My father worked for the CIA as part of project cyclone, He retired in 1983 but I grew up with all kinds of intelligence personnel drinking at our BBQ’s. in 2010 I saw an aircraft with no wings, no propellers or visible engines and it was oblong shaped. It was 50 yards over my head, that close. It made this loud vibrating noise and from behind where it was coming from I saw a pinkish reddish aurora borealis in the north for a few seconds, in north Texas… made me think it was somehow using earths magnetic field to propel itself causing a reaction with it. 1971 I was a " plane spotter". In Manchester UK, I saw a craft about 4000ft high as a guess bright as the full moon and moving at 20mph approx, I saw it also through a hand telescope also, it appeared as the Vulcan test aircraft , and it just lifted into the blue sky after 3 mins and dissapeared almost above me. 3mins duration of sighting.

A number of years ago when I was walking I noticed a very very very very large that looked like a shipping container sitting in a paddock so walked over to see what it was .It was NOT on the ground but floating about 1-2 feet above it which fascinated me. I looked all around it. It just appeared to have the one entrance on one side, a porch area in front of it built in & , a see through door in front of that level with the side with what seemed an ornate pattern on it. The whole vehicle was dark coloured no apparent windows. I also seen a ufo 2 nights in a row in Cleveland, Ohio with my ex wife. No noise and just floated over us. I assume its ours but why risk top secret craft over a civilian population and why come 2x to the same area same people in a populated urban area. Thats the part I cant figure out. I'm the guy who figured it out. Back in the early 90's I believe. Somebody might have got there beforehand, but the lack of computing power would have been problematic. To say the least. Anyhow... You have two main systems that rely on deception. To the Universe that is: Ladder Drive, which uses EM to make an object go from 3D to 2D. This is a cumbersome system, as you can't really steer it. It does create a subspace pocket, but no matter what you attach to it, it is 2D thrust. So... Useless. Probably more useful to get out and blow on it. Real shame though as it is so simple. Next: 1D Drive. You use a rotating EM field to create the illusion of a 1D object. This requires Tequila and Ibuprofen. Plus a few books. It is EXTREMELY complex. Building it is pretty straightforward. Understanding what it is up to is not. I shall attempt to remind myself: Remember Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy? The Heart of Gold? Kinda like that. Any of you know about synchronicity? Or mirrored particles? Basically, this means that you have a partner particle somewhere else in the universe. If you change the spin of particle A, it is immediately reversed in particle B, no matter the distance. (EG: Another galaxy) Now the headache part: You can change where particle B exists. As you are in a 1D field, you exist outside of spacetime. You are on a different tranche of reality. Therefore you exist in all suppositions. This is, as can be supposed, is stupidly dangerous. It's a minefield. Nobody has yet had the balls to try it out. Can't blame them either. The physics is simply beyond us. We know it's possible, as we have seen the craft, but hell no. Nobody is that dumb. You have the same chance of ending up in Aunt Etna's bathroom as Prox. B. So, that's why everything has stalled. Ladder Drive should be given the green light though. It might be nice for our monkey brains to get used to the idea. And for the environment.

But yes I know for a fact there are things sitting in hangers or underground bases that are possibly 70-100 years ahead of the technology we have now. I mean look at quantum computing. Theoretically can do more calculations in 1 millisecond than the amount of atoms there are in the observable universe. You can do anything with that sort of thing.
