This is a fantastic video! I myself am anxious to fly on one of these. Yet, I will sorely miss the Boeing 717 as I understand it will be replaced by this more fuel efficient aircraft. I love those single seats that you showed because like you said, you don't have to worry about people sitting next to you! That was a spectacular grand opening ceremony they had before the boarding began. I am glad you enjoyed both the flight as well as all of the festivities! Great job on the video once again!

Yep. That climb rate did seem like the old Maddogs. Also the P & W Greared Turbofan engines not only are very quiet but have a significant reduction in CO2 pushed out. And a significant reduction in fuel burn. Isn't that correct?
@FLLAviation3 жыл бұрын
Correct! The fuel burn on the A220 has been incredible even compared to new delivery A321 and 737-900's!

A good report on the CS-300, designed and built in Canada. I must correct you, it is not a US aircraft, it is a Canadian aircraft. But when Boeing went to tRump to complain about Delta's deal with Bombardier for the CS-300, Rump placed a 219% (wtf) tariff on it which basically barred it from the US market. So Canada did an end-run selling 51% to Airbus that has a factory in Mobile, Alabama. So as the secondary factory, the CS-300 could now be stamped 'MADE IN THE USA' and therefore the tariff does not apply. Well played Canada and Europe!
@FLLAviation3 жыл бұрын
Glad you liked the video! Yeah as for the whole avoiding taxes thing, it definitely was pretty smart on canada's part for doing what they did.
@gregmatthews80513 жыл бұрын
@@FLLAviation Thank you. It is when a 'private' corporation runs to their govt when they can not do the job on their own, they inject politics into an area that politics, esp. international, does not belong. BTW, my favourite aircraft after the AVRO Arrow is the DC-3. Would love to take a trip on one of them that still fly.

Do you know if the IFEs are in-house since the A220-300s are newer than their A220-100s like their A330NEOs and 767-400 retrofits or are the IFEs made by Hitachi since the A220-300s are narrowbodies and part of the A220 family like the A220-100s?
@FLLAviation3 жыл бұрын
In House IFE
@Blank003 жыл бұрын
@@FLLAviation Do you know which tail numbers in Delta's A220 fleet have IFEs made by GoGo instead of in-house? I know that a first batch of an unspecified number of A220s have GoGo IFEs and the in-house IFEs didn't roll out until sometime later.
@FLLAviation3 жыл бұрын
@@Blank00 I do not know the answer that question unfortunately. All i know is all A220-300's have the in house, and i would guess that any A220-100's built from Oct 2020 onwards also have it.
@remichal3 жыл бұрын
This is the brainchild of Bombardier who first designed and manufactured the plane as the CS300. Airbus subsequently took over production and relabeled it as the A-220 (the -300 suffix came from its original CS300 designation), as well as taking credit for the design.
