I've seen a lot of Mercy's die right after using their ultimate. Personally, I think it's because some mercy players think of valkyrie as an escape tool. However, when they're getting focused, they either react slowly or aren't analyzing the situation well enough and just end up wasting ult.

As a player with 75+ hours on bap (all modes) baps ult is a high situational ult imo. Its got good zoning sometimes but its not reliable enough to count on. And if u use it to get picks, ur probably using it wrong. And in current meta, its most used for heals if ur going for the max value. Thats what ive seen and experienced.

Samito being a bias Hanzo main, yes Dragonstrike isn't impactful or game changing however it is definitely better than Deadeye, Meteor Strike or Bastio Ult. It's the same tier as Bob at the very least. As it forces positioning and resources, as well as being nearly impossible to counter, as unless your d.va is standing on top of hanzo the ult will always go off. And he acts like the only thing you can combo it with is grav, yet it also combo's well with flux and orisa's halt

With Doom ult you can also use it to get onto rooftops and other places that other characters can't go to, and if you're good enough you can kill a Pharah or another flying character out of the sky. Whether that changes the placements, idk.

One of mercy's key roles is to heal, she cannot just damage boost for her whole ultimate. While orisa places her bongo and still does her job. Bongo makes 6 players have 50% damage boost, while valk is 5 players at 30%, which she might have to stop to heal. Bongo is just much better

with molten core, you don't just hold down spray. you scatter the lava so you have a bit here, a bit there, so it looks more like a checker field rather than a curved line. It forces your opponents to really require the healers to move without dying. I vote it very impactful, sometimes game changing. It not only zones, but the high damage it outputs can easily stop low health characters, and deal enough damage to tanks for them to be low enough to be picked off by your teammates.

I think another determining factor for an ult should be how hard it can tilt the other team. From my experience molten core is one of the most tilt inducing ults in the game.

Overall this is a really solid list. Just a couple small changes: I'd put Coal above Valk because of how much coordination/map dependency Valk requires, Flux above Copy, definitely shouldn't have moved Meteor Strike, Core below Bob. Old Minefield was definitely better than Core, but that's about where it belongs now. Grav I might put above Nano. Nano can be very situational to where if you don't have something guaranteed like a Winston there can just be no good targets to use it on. I'd say Barrier is significantly better than Trans just because it doesn't take a man out of the fight and it's far better against Nano Blade.

Transcendence is definitely better than Sound Barrier. Sound Barrier gets completely negated by an EMP, yes, but it's biggest weakness compared to transcendence is that Lucio can have his ultimate canceled, and this game has a lot of stuns. Transcendence is instant, and when you're using a defensive ultimate, you need something instant and reliable. You literally can't be stunned out of it and lose it. I'm having trouble thinking of other ultimates that you also can't be stunned out of. Maybe D.Va bomb? Sym wall, Molten Core, anything else? Anti Nade is Transcendence's only real weakness, but amusingly enough, the same ability if used by your Ana makes you essentially invincible against damage over time. In a fight, it beats out EMP and Bongos. Sound Barrier really only beats out D.Va bomb.

Back in 2018-2019 when Goats was meta no one in lower ranks actually played it. Most of the time Brig would be played as the second healer. I played Orissa. It was literally impossible for any other tank matchup to win. I used to feel so bad for Reins and Winston. The only actually way of beating it was co ordination. I reached my highest ever Sr during that time. The best part was seeing cocky reapers and tracer trying to 1v1 and getting decimated. A good pull and bongo was OP. I remember multiple times where I had gold dmg as her. Nowadays playing her is a hard throw. But bingo does an insane amount of dmg especially if you have zen or junkrat.

@@shivkahuja rally is very team dependent, pretty sure molten core does more damage than mines and on top of that you can choose where you want it to go, blizzard is situational as it is basically used as a less threatening molten core to zone and tire whilst it’s a very good ult and does an insane amount of burst damage can be countered by anyone with good aim. On top of that molten core does more damage to shields than any other health state which hard counters rally which according to you should be higher than molten core

Riptire should be game changing, I get 4-5 kills with it regularly, and anyone that survives I usually also finish off. People don't use it right. If you drive it around for 5 min everyone separates and hides. Do it quickly and surprise the enemy! Blow it up almost as soon as you do it and it's golden!

I'd honestly say that trans is better. While yes it can't heal through big burst of damage it's going to be generally more consistent than beat because both last 6 seconds but Zen's gives 300 healing through the entire 6 seconds while Lucio's is decaying temporary health point. And because Zen is immortal it will come out more often since Lucio's is vulnerable to CC

yeah wall hacks has value but you cant do alot with it it is only useful in certain situations but dva bomb can force teams out of positions

Second life for a tank, possible team kill, will put enemy team out of position or force resources (shields, cooldowns, ults) . Widow walls will never reach that value unless the team who can be seen thru walls just ignores it pre fight and runs right into you

D.va bomb should be affected by most CC in the game in my opinion (with an exception or two) As an example, it should be able to be bopped around just like D.Va would be in her mech, or hacked (I don’t think the hack should completely kill it, just delay the explosion for the hack duration) that ult has always been too strong and then you have ults like Barrage or whole hog that have far less guaranteed impact and maybe the same high end impact but are far far more risky and harder to make work for the same or less level of impact. It doesn’t make sense.

I disagree with some of these.D.va’s ult is highly dodge able but if positioned correctly it could change the tide of battle so it should go in somewhat impactful.Nano boost can rlly help with making an ultimate an almost guaranteed machine so it should go in game changing.Widows ult should go in useless since it’s only purpose is seeing through walls.Its really only an enemy revealer which rlly isn’t needed.

Honestly I feel it too but I think it's mostly because sam thinks about the game more as a whole team and balancing scenarios whereas jay now focuses more on entertaining and stream so he kinda defers to him. But yes sam should give jay more chances to talk

Very accurate list, but I think Self Destruct is impactful, nowhere near game-changing. Also, the order of the game-changing ults should be EMP first, Bongo second. Also, Sym wall was too low

For someone is in console plat riptire is definitely for the most obnoxious ult in the game. Consistently u can just walk into the middle of teamfight, pop it and get a consistent 3k at least with little skill at all. It is so hard for lower skilled players like me to shoot it and everyone just runs away and ignores it. And the radius of damage is ridiculous, confirmed kill on squishy every time. Can't imagine the oppressiveness in ranks in gold or silver.
