Thanks for detail desription...I need changeover float swich which can turn on in Lower possition and turn off on higher possition?where to buy?
@Tameson10 ай бұрын
Hello, for your application, you could consider a bi-stable float switch, which is designed to turn on at a lower position and off at a higher position. This type of switch is ideal for maintaining a specific liquid level within a tank or sump. You can view and purchase our range of changeover float switches directly from our website. Here is the link to the appropriate section for your convenience: tameson.com/collections/float-switches Feel free to browse through the options, and if you need any further advice or assistance in selecting the right product for your specific needs, do not hesitate to contact us.

Can you connect this float switch directly to a pump (to start and stop the pump according to the water level), or do you need a smart relay controler also?
@TamesonАй бұрын
Hello, to determine whether you can connect a float switch directly to a pump or if you need a smart relay controller, it depends on several factors including the type of pump, the specifications of the float switch, and the electrical requirements. Here are some general guidelines: 1. Direct Connection: - Low Power Pumps: For small, low-power pumps, you can often connect the float switch directly to the pump. The float switch acts as a simple on/off switch that opens or closes the circuit to the pump. - Float Switch Rating: Ensure that the float switch is rated for the voltage and current of the pump. If the switch can handle the electrical load, a direct connection is possible. 2. Using a Relay or Smart Controller: - High Power Pumps: For larger, high-power pumps, the float switch may not be able to handle the high current directly. In this case, a relay or smart controller is used to handle the high current while the float switch controls the relay. - Safety and Control: Using a relay or smart controller can offer additional safety features and control options. For example, smart controllers can provide delay functions, alarms, and other automation features.

I need something like this to work with a US Solid ball valve. When the float is down I want power to go to the ball valve so it will open. When the float reaches the top of the tank, I want it to cut the power to the ball valve which will leave it closed. Will this work like that?
@Tameson10 ай бұрын
For your application, you could consider a float switch that is normally closed (NC) when the float is down and opens the circuit (cuts power) when the float rises. This type of switch will allow power to flow to your US Solid ball valve when the water level is low, causing it to open, and will cut the power, leaving the valve closed when the float reaches the top of the tank. Please ensure to verify the electrical specifications of the ball valve and the float switch to ensure they are compatible. You can find more information in our article: tameson.com/pages/float-switch or write on our support email support@tameson.com

Hello is there a way to measure the amount of water in a tank remotely?
@Tameson2 ай бұрын
Hello, you need to have flowmeter on the inlet pipeline. If you are thinking on the level measurement, you can use level sensors with signal transition.

Thanks for the video really it's very useful video sir...I've one question how much distance we need keep b/w yellow colour and blue colour??
@Tameson Жыл бұрын
Hello, if you use float switch with external weight the distance from the weight to the float switch depends on switch on and switch of level that you have in your tank.

Okay did I miss something , does normally on mean when it floating upright the contacts are touching and it's a closed switch?, And the pump goes on? Normally off means it goes on when it goes upside down, that's like the most important info of all.....I need to buy one that makes the pump go on when it's going downward and the water level is low so it turns on and fills the tank back up. Nothing in this helps me know what it's called

Normally open (NO) float switch: The electrical circuit within the switch remains open when the switch is at the bottom and closed in the ‘up’ position. So, the switch is open with gravity pulling it down and closes as the liquid level rises to the pre-set level. Normally closed (NC) float switch: The electrical circuit within the switch remains closed when the switch is at the bottom and open in the ‘up’ position. So, the switch is closed with gravity pulling it down and opens as the liquid level rises to the pre-set level. You can check more details in the article: tameson.com/pages/float-switch

question: I work with two switches, one for min and the other for max water tanks. Is it normal for both switches with weights to float, i.e. the min does not sink?

but what does the yellow cylinder do?
@Tameson Жыл бұрын
Hi. The yellow cylinder is a counterweight that holds the float switch in a certain position. Based on the position of the counterweight and cable length, you can set different control levels in your tank.

How can I connect float swith to inbuilt submisble sollar pump
@Tameson11 ай бұрын
To ensure proper installation, you will need to connect the float switch to the control box of your solar pump system. The float switch typically has two wires: one that connects to the power supply and the other to the pump controller. When the water reaches a certain level, the switch will trigger the pump to turn on or off accordingly.
