Sensory Deprivation Tank: Closing yourself off in a SOUND PROOF POD in TOTAL DARKNESS and floating in 800lb OF SALTWATER is... actually pretty cool. Floating is an absolutely amazing experience and has really changed my life. I would absolutely recommend it and I hope this video will be helpful to you if you are interested in having the experience.

Have been meaning to experience this for ages. Thanks for the reminder. Unlike you, I have always preferred silence all my life. I like music but maybe for an hour or so. Even if I'm having a long drive and start listening to music, at some point I need to turn it off and drive in silence. My little sister would listen to music for hours and hours. I cannot remember listening to music for longer than 2 hours, ever, in my life, not even that. Similarly, unlike kids being afraid of the dark, even as a kid I wanted my room to be in absolute darkness and quiet. I have this feeling that the sensory deprivation tank will be an incredible experience for me. I think I'm going to feel right at home with it. Or maybe I'll come out as a new heavy metal fan! Who knows! Thanks Alina. Inspiring as always.

Hi Alina! Wow, this is really interesting to learn about. I had never heard of this at least I don't remember ever hearing of it. I wonder if this will help in my breathing and being enough relaxed at night to fall asleep, that has been a problem for a long time with me. I am going to seek out finding a location, hopefully near me, that I can give it a try. I'll let you know what I find out.. Thanks for sharing about this, I know it has been a long time since you posted this, but I just saw it today...I have some catching up to do, enjoy your video's a lot everyday. Cheers!!

Thank you a lot for telling us your experience. So kind :-) May I ask you what kind of difference you've noticed in your night dreaming using floating tank? Did you notice any difference? I'm trying to understand more about lucid dreaming because it's a beautiful instrument to see inner...and I don't think floating is much different..isn'it? Thanks again :-)

Hello Alina: I'm sure it has to be a wonderful experience is that you experience in that saltwater tank and in absolute silence. The mind is like a muscle that we spend our life stimulated, and we do it so much that we end up damaging it. It produces a state of tremendous anxiety and sometimes when you want to stop, you can not. This produces sleep disturbances, and also alters the perception of reality, memory, concentration, etc. In short, it is as if we lose control of ourselves. Being able to stop the mind is wonderful, either through meditation or through experiences like these you tell in the saltwater tank. Back to calm is fundamental. To have the feeling of freeing ourselves from everything. Understand that we really do not need anything, and that what we are is something that transcends all the things we have, it's wonderful. Being alone with yourself, with your body and with the rest of bodies that transcend your physical reality, is a wonderful experience. There is another important thing, and that is that our reality is created from our consciences, and often the negative things that happen to us, have to do with the negative way in which our consciences work, fundamentally our mental and emotional consciences. Therefore, when you stop them, when they stop vibrating negatively, you stop making a negative reality for yourself. I think that once you have experienced a state like the one produced by the salt water tank, which is like going back to the maternal womb, then it will be easier for you to connect with that state. Shutting down the rational mind is like dying, and it is good that one learns to surrender to that state as of controlled death. The same thing happens with the orgasm, or when you get rid of a great danger. A part of the brain clicks, and that's great because when we disconnect, we find peace just in that disconnection. We are probably manufacturing a dissociated world of nature, and that will surely be harmful to our physical, mental and spiritual health. Today I thought that the human connection through social networks may be disconnecting us from a natural way of communication that is more effective and healthy than this other way of keeping us connected. Perhaps the friction of the bodies stabilizes our bodily energies and I think that we are losing this with virtual friction.

Wow! What wonderful points made! I definitely agree with a lot of what you've stated and I'm so glad there are becoming more and more others who are looking at life in this way. When you stated that we lose control of ourselves, I can definitely relate to that. If I'm in the state it's usually unconscious as in being so absorbed that one cannot stop and doesn't realize what they're doing, but other times I've actually noticed how entranced I am and try to stop, but know that the obsession is stronger and it has to run its course. Through mindfulness these reactions become less and less but it's interesting how easily we identify our sense of self with our circumstances. Thank you for sharing!

Hello Alina: I am very happy that my words you liked and that my ideas will be close. I do not know if there will be many people who think like us. I think they are the least, maybe 2 out of 10 people and the proof is that your videos do not have 2 million visits, as if they have those other people who do not approach either your physical beauty or the beauty of your mind and of your soul You are a very unique person, with very unique tastes and concerns, so it is normal to attract not too many people by vibration, but I think you attract people who are predestined for it. Like attracts like. The universe is in order and lives in balance. I imagine the experience of the tank with salt water, like returning to the mother's womb. They are very deep sensations that we treasure at a subconscious level and that surely because of that, when we relive them, we experience a very special state of peace. And surely it has to do with the peace that the soul experiences when we disembody. We are not aware of how heavy life is in a physical body, but freeing ourselves from it must be a wonderful experience, beyond the existence of many energies that push us again and again to the physical plane, as part of our process evolutionary. On the other hand, I think that modern life, especially life in big cities, life with very rigid schedules, and that fear of doing nothing, in the end, are making us neurotic. I notice how in the subway, people cross their eyes with the person sitting in front of them, and can not start a conversation, rather people try to take refuge in the safety of their mobile phones. Something very important we are missing from what happens outside. I also believe that it happens with travel. Once a friend of mine who has traveled a lot in the world, told me that every time it was harder to find something in the world that would impress her. And it is that in this Edonist world in which we live, in which we are seeking emotions and constant pleasures, we become increasingly insensitive, and that is why our eyes are blinded by the small miracles of daily life.

Absolutely. The more I've noticed my consciousness has grown, the more I am able to actually enjoy and appreciate life. I also feel this intense pull to free myself from as many constraints of what I 'have' to do. I don't think we came here to run on a hamster wheel doing one task after another until we die with some crumbs of free time in the middle. To let go of the illusion of security in life opens up a world that is much more alive than I ever imagined. There is so much beauty to experience. All the best to you :)

Hello Alina: It is very interesting that you say: Get rid of this constant search for security in order to enjoy a little more freedom, to have the possibility of being more owners of our lives, to make her more to do with us, with the more intrinsic that with the dictates of the society in which we live. However, there is another path that is the path of stillness, it is the path in which you disconnect from your being the form of desire and adopt a contemplative position before life. You decide not to push your life from your will anywhere, because you have understood that everything always stops its opposite. Maybe the best thing we can do in life is live for others. Occupy ourselves in making others happy. Although for this, it is necessary to have reached a state of personal happiness such that it allows you to forget yourself. Something similar to what I say, happened to me. I, when I was 17 years old, had a kind of conversation with God and I asked him for 3 great wishes, and I promised him that if he would fulfill them, I would never ask him for anything, and that as I would be completely happy, I would dedicate myself to making happy to others. To my surprise, at 25 years old, my 3 great wishes were already a reality, so I dedicated myself since then, to realize the wishes of others. This changed my life and made me a strange person, but at the same time, I feel a very free and accomplished person. Mystical experiences like those you have lived in the saltwater tank, help you understand several things: one of them is that there is more life after life and this helps you not to fear death. And the other thing that teaches you is that you are not your mind, and that your mind is really an instrument that is sometimes worth using, and sometimes it is better to keep it off. When you understand that your material reality has been delivered by your spiritual, mental and emotional consciousness, then you take the reins of those consciousnesses and make of your material life what you want. The human being usually puts his mind behind the phenomena, that is, once the phenomenon has occurred, they try to interpret it, but they do so, because they do not know that their consciences have the power to create the phenomena. If the life of people is usually so complex, it is because we have our consciences vibrating more in fear than in love and peace. We live thinking more about avoiding evil than enjoying good.

@AlinaMcleod
@AlinaMcleod 6 жыл бұрын
It is certainly a bit claustrophobic, especially in the pods. If you can try doing it in the rooms, I would suggest that. If it still feels weird, it does get better (or at least it did for me) once I started to relax into it and keep my eyes closed so it felt somewhat similar to how I feel when falling asleep. Very worth it though and probably helps one overcome claustrophobia to a certain extent.
