My first float is today. A gift from my family for Father's day. Excited, nervous, worried, everything lol. Thanks for this video, it's absolutely reached its target audience with me.

I've floated over 270 times. You should tell them that even with the earplugs in, you can hear the toxins "popping" out of their skin. I don't use the plugs anymore. I like to hear different music that I can replay when I'm in traffic or experiencing stress. When you hear the last songs on the CD (that played when you were in the tank for over an hour), your mind will "auto-relax" when those songs are playing. This is but one example of the power of the mind and the tank.

I've been listening to Alan Watts lectures in the tank, and some Tibetan chanting. It takes you to another place, my friend. Good point.

I went for the first time and it was honestly pretty scary! I am not sure if I am the only one like this, but found it hard to relax, hard to sit in pitch black (I would have to crack the door open just a little to see some light, and not knowing how to turn my thoughts off...There were moments where I felt good and weightless like a relaxing feeling. There was someone next to me who started screaming out of nowhere (maybe some trauma came up for her)....my husband was pretty calm during his but also mentioned it was relaxing but didnt feel life changing like some people describe. Perhaps you have to go many times to experience the magic people are talking about? I am definitely open to, but wondering if I did anything wrong in my experience. My earplugs also kept falling out, and I was very distracted by my own breathing through my nose and sometimes felt I couldnt breathe right bc when youre floating with ears plugged the air doesnt flow as well. I'm also overweight so maybe this is why too? Either way I am glad I went floating and will try it again! Just wanted to document my experience.

Trip report, first session yesterday : I am recovering from general anxiety around water due to past trauma and also a fear of the dark (again I'm recovering from several past traumas there too) - and these things definitely meant it took me longer to acclimatise to full sensory deprivation. I ended up using a pillow type float thing because my neck got sore (which apparently is quite common) and got fully settled about half way through my alloted hour. When I got settled, wow. My experience here was purely physical but nothing prepared me for how *solid* the water feels once you have become stable and calm. I would describe it as a marble table which 100s of artisans spent months carving and smoothing to match every millimeter and gram of my physical body. Then I realised that when I tried to sense my arms, it felt like there were none, there was only the water. Soon after this a sense of profound peace descended on me. Unfortunate my hour was up at around exactly this time but I'll go back again. Since then I've been feeling light as a feather and mood is greatly improved. Recommend for anyone, if I can do it, so can you!

Wil, this does seem pretty cool. I will definitely try it sometime. I also heard that salt water draws impurities from your body. People actually go to the Great Salt Lake to do the same thing, but out in the open. I will continue to view your videos! Thanks. Mark

Not hatin', but I would suggest you find a way to increase the volume on your future videos. People can always turn it down, but what to do when you got the volume maxxed out and still can't hear clearly?

The amount of salt mixed in will help you float
@williamhicks97527 жыл бұрын
My question is what does the salt do? why cant you just float in regular water. thanks
@bonitaslaymaker16267 жыл бұрын
Hey William, when I float in regular water my feet drop down and my face is distractingly low in the water. This makes me think about floating. The idea in the tank is to not be distracted by anything like that. I also notice that when in the tank my body doesn't rise and fall when breathing like in regular water. If you can float in regular water without those issues then you may be ok.
@andrewharrison57406 жыл бұрын
The salt in the water creates buoyancy. That means you're going to stay floating no matter what and you don't have to worry about trying to stay afloat.
@melodylobach25106 жыл бұрын
The salt helps you float on the water and creates the floating illusion.
