Last time I tried going to the island by myself I went into the dead zone and my sea moth was destroyed by a ghost leviathan, when I tried to escape.

Thanks for the video! I had been to the floating island before when the beacon was there but when I got home I realized I had forgotten to pick up the fragment for the multipurpose room. I tried to go back before the water turned deep blue and my computer lady said, "Warning: Entering ecological dead zone. Adding report to databank." From watching playthroughs, I knew what the dead zone was and knew that I had to get the heck out of there since I was in my Seamoth. I turned around but felt like I was going the wrong direction since I couldn't see my lifepod's beacon in my Seamoth. So I decide to hop out for a second, stand on my Seamoth, look for the beacon, hop back in, and RUN. However, the second I get out of my Seamoth it goes flying across the water. I think it's just a glitch so I get back in and start running away. Then it hit me. That wasn't a glitch. Suddenly, I saw the massive head of the ghost Leviathan swimming toward me. It took a chomp out of my Seamoth, bringing it down to 48 health. Heart racing, I got the heck out of there. My Seamoth and I made it out alive, but that was my first big Leviathan encounter. It was terrifying lmao

Once the water colour changes to dark blue turn around, that's the void. It's not that easy to find it, but not that hard ether

For people that are afraid of going there because of the Dead Zone: 1. If you enter the dead zone, you can easily go back. 2. If you look at S - SW, you might see a big cloud over the water. That's the island. 3. You might need a Seamoth. If you don't have a Seamoth, I might post a video with all the Seamoth fragments. And if you are afraid of the zone(s) it's in, It's not that dangerous. And it's just a game!

You might not see this, but there is another island behind the Aurora. Although I don't recommend going there as the only thing that's remotely useful is a proportion cannon fragment that is not guaranteed. Oh yeah and 8 reapers spawn there. Edit: Post Auora-explosion it might not be there, but you there is metal salvage and quartz as well as limestone deposits

Tip: if a leviathan destroys your seamoth, quit the game without saving, and enter back in. It will load your most recent save with your seamoth :) Edit: just make sure to save the game before going in the adventure. Also do not save inside the seamoth or prawn suit

I keep doing exactly this and not finding the island. Someone said it was 750m from the pod and I go Southwest from standing on top of the pod til it says the pod is 1000m away. Still can't find it. I have severe Thalassophobia (fear of the ocean) to the point that if I see a basin with a meter of water tall I will still be uncomfortable thinking of what is below it even If I know it's nothing but the thoughts scare me, I also have severe Kenophobia (fear of voids or emptiness) So I might get jumpscared the moment the island starts rendering; I was looking for the island, I was driving my seamoth towards a fog I believed to be where the island is, I was driving for a while until I start to become scared and I see I just gotta move some 10 more meters foward to go THROUGH the fog, so... where the FUCK is the island, and then robot lady tells me life is unusually low for unknown reasons, I already know of the ghost leviathan, and considering my phobias I fucked outta there as quick as I could without looking back, since I believed to be in the dead zone, Jesus Christ that made me SO SCARED, 5 mins later I'm here searching for the location of that shit.

Pro tip: ignore this tutorial and go in a random direction until the water gets dark blue. Then, you will probably hear roars. That’s a good sign. Keep going until you see a shiny, gel like blue thing. Once you see him, get out of your seamoth and talk to him. He will give you directions to the floating island. Ur welcome.

As you could expect, I entered the dead zone and didn’t think anything of it because the video said the whole was was safe, and then got my fully upgraded seamoth ripped apart :/

The voice said entering dead zone and I thought nothing of it, and then a few minutes later my seamoth got blown up. At the time I thought it was a ghost leviathan, but I realized now it kicked me out of the vehicle at first, which probably means it was a warper. I got there safely using this guide though, thanks!

Thanks for this tutorial, it really helped but I actually have a funny story. So I did this and I slowly noticed after about 10 minutes of searching I can't find it and I kept going about 2000 meters away from the base I get a data thing saying I found a migration path even though I'm at surface and then I continue going about 2500 meters can't ever see the aurora then I get into ecological deadzone so I go back and in defeat I start heading home and I crash into an invisible forcefield. The island was invisible.

The only safe biome is the safe shallows, the rest you will find some creatures that will attack you.

If you're planning to go there, first: craft a Beacon, then take it with you and swim to find that island, then drop the Beacon there. It can save you from going to the dead zone (Void or whatever).

@@VillainCloud oh yeah, I hadn’t gone near the Aurora since, and I searched up Leviathan maps and stuff. Now I’m not as afraid, and I’ve actually made a lookout station near one of the Reaper’s.

Best way to check out leviathans is get the seamoth, add to it hull reinforcement and perimeter defence. Then just swim around them. Once the reaper try's to attack you, swim cycles around it. They will lose interest pretty fast. P.S Reapers are blind. They can see you after the roar

sooo i went to the mountain island, watched the sunbeam blow up and then found a portal, now im on the floating islands forgot where the portal was and my seamoth is over 2300 meters away. edit: I found the portal again and didnt have to swim 2300 meters edit 2: I got to my seamoth and it like despawned or something so I had to swim 1000 meters back to the life pod

You can always go to the mountain / alien gun, as right in the mountain inside is the portal you found. But the only problem is, floating island is closer to island ( Depends where your life pod located). If you go to mountain with seamoth or cyclops, you will need to swim back for them. ( You can always got there with seaglide)

@@VillainCloud Ha. I actually did make it to the island a little while after I made the comment. I only found it because I saw the leviathan, so I started driving away but I drove into the island. Also because I am on console, the view range isnt very good, so I relied on my compass.

The other way to get there is to go to the mountain island and find the teleporter in the caves.

Sorry, I have no idea. How much I can tell, the map is identical to PC. But I could be wrong and developers could move the island more north, west or south. I haven't played this on xbox

When I first tried to relocate it I went straight southwest and accidentally entered the ecological deadzone😅 luckly i just evaded the ghost leviathan and it left me alone after that I found it again the second time through this video because i just went between south and southwest

If you try to go to the island too early in the game the Ghost Leviathan will attack you. After a surrender point (not shore when) the Leviathan retreats to 500 meters.

VillainCloud I have try approaching the Island in a strait line from the back of the Arora, directly from the life bod and by going past the Arora and then heading to the island. Every time the Gost Leviathan chases me down. The reason I be leave that the Leviathan must be present time a point is from Jacksepticeyes’s fall release game play vids.

You come out the others side everything looks safe and than the Ghost Leviathan strikes. I am wondering did you build the Cyclopes before or after going to the island?
