Totally agree. He has the potential to be the eddy merkx of this decade, to win everything that comes in his path. You're not racing to give wins away to competitors. Can you imagine Verstappen giving the win in the last lap to Norris as a thank you for being his DRS tugbuddy for 20 laps? Totally ridiculous.

No complaints from me, and even as an American, that watched Tadej fly past a close to a win Jorgenson, I have no problem with it. My only hope is that Jonas comes back next year at full strength and each rider is taking shots at each other. Great stuff, best tour I have seen in the two decades of watching.

Pogi and Jonas has been just great racing. Now a newcomer in the mix with Remco. Add in Cav ,Carapaz and Beni this has been the best Tour in years.. decades!

Yes. Tadej and Jonas will go back and forth. Depends how well Visma and UAE will support them with better teammates. Jonas actually out splint Tadej on stage 11. But he was spent later stages and didn't have leg for any splint without decent teammates to support him. Exactly what happened to Tadej in TDF 2023.

I think it was the stage before that bothered people and less so the stage with Jonas. In the previous stage he ran his own team into the ground to catch the breakaway for an inconsequential win for a GC racer. Ordinarily such things could jeopardize his GC from all the wasted energy, but you know... Tadej... the only one in the tour who isn't tired at the end even though conventional wisdom would say that a giro/tour double is supposed to be hard.
