I know people say it’s dead, but I will always love the Gi!

Me too! The turnout at every IBJJF tourney tells me the Gi will always have a home in most BJJ academies around the world.

Its just marketing and mainstream. Its a way of marketing big names repeating the same thing so people will actually believe it. But its not true. If you see now, some of who said its dead, they want to make it look like they are the one who brought it back to life.

Not at black belt. Purple belt and brown belt John was a KILLER. Now I think he's in a rut and honestly should move down to texas for a year or two and train under someone else cause he just isn't able to perform to his full potential right now. He should have all the accolades Tainan has, he's so ridiculously talented, but he likes that stalling game. Look at him looking at the clock constantly. It's just not fun to watch and it's also not getting him the finishes he needs. He gets complacent. Switching gyms isnt bad, especially if its momentarily.

Gi isn't dead, just needs to be revamped with different rules. No gi is fun no doubt, but gi is aswell.
