Can you explain below how you connected the accumulator to the Flojet. It looks like the 1/4" inch has been replaced with something much larger?

Hello. Would you say you would need separate pumps and accumulator tanks for pitcher rinser and espresso machine or could you run them both off one pump one accumulator? Very usual info. Thanks for posting
@Caffewerks5 жыл бұрын
Steve Brown hello Steve, you can run both off one system useing a series of oneway check valves. If curious send an email to info@caffewerks.com

I have a Slayer on order, and plan on using the bottle system you use. I will be filling my bottle from sink tap water. My questions are: 1. Where would you plumb in a pressure regulator, and what should the pressure be set at? 2. Being that I'm using tap water, where in the system would you plumb in a filter system? 3. What should the pressure of the accumulator be set to? Thanks for the video. It's quite helpful. Cheers!

How often should Flojet pump be kicking in? I have mine setup with pressurized tank and usually it will toggle on every second shot or near the end of shot.
@Caffewerks7 ай бұрын
A BW5000 pump will kick on nearly every time to draw water from it. Adding a larger accumulator tank will keep it from turning on and off every time

I was under the impression that bsp and npt are not compatible. You don't get any leaks connected those thread types?

Didnt read the comments so I am not sure if anyone mentioned or not. Your volumne was way down couldnt hear anything on my end. Barely. All my volumes were up had to use closed caption.

I've listened to a couple of your videos. Your tech know-how is top notch. But there's a lot of background noise, making it often difficult to understand what you're saying.

Thanks Jeff. I am redoing the pump videos currently with additional information on sourcing. Thanks for the feedback.

Can I hook this onto a Grindmaster GB5MF Cappuccino/Espresso/Latte Maker & Dispenser

sorry I didn't exactly get the purpose of that black cylinder between the pump and the espresso machine. is it strongly recommended to use it with the pump or it depends on espresso machine properties
@Caffewerks9 жыл бұрын
+Дикий, дерзкий The accumulator is useful to keep the pump from cycling on and off. It allows additional downline pressure during extraction on a espresso machine maintaining even pressure.

my pump and espresso machine hasnt been used for a week. Its been below freezing temp. the expresso machine and main pump works fine but the flojet pump has stopped working. the power light is flashing. Any suggestions on getting it working as soon as possible?? many thanks Sarah
@Caffewerks4 жыл бұрын
sarah cairns a flashing light means that the pump is not getting water. Any chance your system froze?

Hope you can help me out. now i'm not using accumulator; I directly connect flojet to espresso machine. everytime i brew, and espresso machine starts pumping, then flojet will go off and on and off and on until i stop brewing. off i mean the light on the power adaptor goes off, and go back on itself, and off and on. It seems like the power is insufficient or something like that. However, if i empty espresso machine, and turn that on, espresso machine starts pumping water from flojet without any problem until the tank is full. Does this mean my flojet is defected ? Any advise is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi. Thank you for your video. I have set up my system the same way as you suggested. As soon and I installed the accumulator I started to get water that has a very bad taste (plastic like). I’ve passed through 5 gallons and the taste is still there ( over 24 hours). Will this dissipate? If not, would a carbon filter inline work? Thank you.
@Caffewerks4 жыл бұрын
James H what type of tubing did you use. We suggest using only tubing that has been NSF approved.
@jamesh46134 жыл бұрын
Caffewerks I issued flex braided tubing...they say NSF on them but not NSF 51 or 61. You think tubing is the most likely culprit over the tank? Thanks for the quick reply!
@Caffewerks4 жыл бұрын
James H NSF is good enough the different ratings like 51 don’t really matter in this instance. Accumulators are made for water systems so it is unlikely that that is the culprit. We use carbon block on everything do it wouldn’t hurt.
@jamesh46134 жыл бұрын
Caffewerks Ok. Thanks. I’ll give it some time to see if it subsides. Do you have a recommendation for a decent inline carbon filter?
@amandat.56104 жыл бұрын
I have also read that you could end up with bad tasting water when using the Flojet accumulator. Please advise, or update as I am getting ready to install one for my espresso machine water system. Thanks!
