I clicked on this video as I'm sitting here chopping the celery and onions for the version of this my family has been making since the 70's with beef. In the schools in Michigan in the 60's they used to make something similar with mushrooms that was served over mashed potatoes. My mom and her siblings loved it so we've been making it since I was a wee little tike in the 70's. The recipe has adapted as we added more Asian flavors to our every day meals. Now, it's almost the exact same as your recipe minus the peas. Although, we may try that tonight. Another fantastic video, Flo and Dude.

Looks delicious. I would add the cooked rice or cooked noodles into the pork mixture cuz I love mixing my food together! Great, easy, cheap recipe! Thanks.

The Chinese diners I used to go to would plate the meat and then place a raw egg or just the raw yolk in the center and the residual heat would mostly cook the egg by the time it got to the table. In my kitchen, I drop a few eggs into the wok in various places and cover for a few minutes until the egg is softly poached and then serve over individual bowls of rice so everyone gets an egg to break and spread the yolk around. So good

That looks SO good and so easy I'm adding it to the Flo list! Eating out can get expensive and even cooking at home can add up but The Australian newspaper recently featured a high-end restaurant where a degustation menu with matching wines was $400 PER PERSON! That's ridiculous! I can feed the two of us for a month on that with a little effort. One thing I have gotten a bit fixated on is food presentation - it has to look good on the plate and it has to be the right plate. I chose 2 rather expensive bowls ($25 each yikes) as my Christmas gift last year and we use them all the time, love eating from them and they make the meal that bit special - they are perfect for laksa and other soupy noodle dishes. I also bought $2 flatish black bowls that would be perfect for this dish - white rice against the black, the pop of the green peas...FLO - that laksa paste you recommended is excellent! We're happily having laksa more often because that paste nails it - better than I've had at some restaurants! Cheers from Oz!!

G'Day from Australia! I love simple food. Your food is simple that anyone can make. I love following your recipes! I've made quite a few. This one I wasn't so sure about. Then you added that splash of sesame at the end and I'm like, holy cow, this is dinner tonight! I love sesame! I had actually defrosted pork mince to make lasagne tonight, but I'm making this instead. I might add some finely diced carrots with the peas, because I really love carrots. I have been watching your videos for ages, but just realised I hadn't subscribed. I'm now subscribed.

The appearance doesn't looks appetising at all. It looks like a pile of...... The green peas need to be cook for awhile to soften them up, not just throw in just to heat up for awhile. They will be hard to bite. But of course, your cooking can still impress some beginners here after all.
