flood stage on Whitlock creek

This is a homemade sugar pine laminated arch bridge I built 25 years ago. Heart redwood deck. Inspired by the covered bridge internal arches in Vermont. Water came near to the deck, and luckily the abutments held. In 1850 here stood a 40' diameter water wheel. It was a storm like this that removed it in 1853.
