Another 5* that I think should be mentioned in regards to 12-1-2 is Jean. Jean and Bennett’s sunfire interaction is really strong against herald’s shields. Though my favorite team to run in the second half is Nahida national, where Nahida replaces anemo slot.

While it's annoying that chamber 1 is outlandishly hard, it's probably better than having the final chamber be the hardest (\*ahem* wenut lol), where if you'd want to try a different team, you'd have to play through 2 chambers just to reach the 3rd.

However, as someone who likes to do abyss runs, I like the hard chamber to be at the end because if I play teams that aren't that good in this situation, I can more easily just ignore the last chamber like with the wenut, the first two chambers were aoe so if I played an aoe team there, I could just accept to not finish 12-3-2

the first half were you mention where to position yourself was beyond helpful. i had no issues with grouping the waves of enemies afterward and every run i would get 8:40-8:45. the second half was probably the worst for me as getting frozen was irritating however i saw you use rosaria and decided to give it a go. cleared it with 3 seconds to spare!! thank you so much for these videos 😭 my teams were first half: C1 yae, C0 ei, C2 sucrose, C2 kirara 2nd half: C6 rosaria, C6 bennett, C2 xiangling, C0 zhongli

Do you have hu tao? I was messing around last night and found out the a burgeon hu tao team actually works extremely well. And the interesting part was I needed a character with a slower rate of dendro application so nahida wasn’t actually the best pick for this team. I ended up slotting in collei/dendro mc/Yao Yao all, to my surprise, with success!

If you are using Nahida or another fast dendro applier second half, it is worth focusing the hydro herald's shield first so you don't get chain frozen, as you can more quickly defeat one hydro enemy as opposed to two cryo ones.

Omg I finally beat this chamber with Nilou bloom first half and Raiden national second half after 4 hours of attempts with various teams. Diona was key in the second chamber. Subbed the hydro slot in the national team for her cuz I don't have Kazuha and she really aided in my survivability which was my main issue. Her being cryo also helped me deal with the hydro herald.

First half:Taser- Xinqiu, Sucrose, Beidou, Fischl 2nd: reverse melt-Xianling, Bennet, Rosaria, Diona. I prefer cryo for breaking hydro herald shield because stopping him from moving i find is more valuable than dendro.

Your advice is always so helpful! Both the team structure and the battle tips are simple, but make a big difference. I had to go through the first chamber several times just to barely get one star, and after your video I always get at least two.

I feel your pain. Hydro and cryo heralds were just too obnoxious. The team i ran, 1st half: zhongli, kazuha, sara, raiden 2nd half: xingqiu, bennet, nahida, thoma.

I think Bennett or Jean is a must in 2nd chamber since they renove debuff & freeze consistently. In Bennett case though, it's double edge sword. While he is superior opt than Jean as unit, his pyro self apply also means we can be hit w/ melt/vaporize & loss lot of hp. Therefore I think it's important to point out if use Bennett but bad at than bring shield. If good at , than try bennett to use as early as possible, especially before get debuff.

Burgeon with Nahida National on the bottom half was definitely the fastest team that allowed me to clear this abyss all the way through to the end tbh. Nahida's mark just shreds through the 3 heralds health and destroys the hydro heralds shield, thus allowing me to focus on the two cryo ones better.

The best way I found to shred through the shields in second half while also doing a considerable amount of damage is with Nahida National, (Nahida/Xingqiu/Bennett/Xiangling), you have a ridiculous amount of application while being healed by Bennett and getting lots of vapes/burgeons which helps make it a lot easier

I personally used YaeBaal supremacy with Kazuha and lvl 70 Yaoyao (instructor set) in the first half and weird team with Kuki, Yelan, Nahida and Yanfei. Yanfei is a pyro catalyst, so it's a bit easier to breal cryo shields, and also her seal mechanics greatly reduce the stamina consumption, whish is very usefull against cryo heralds. Kuki is a great healer and helps to breal cryo shield as well and she allows Nahida's E proc faster Under Ult, therefore breaking hydro herald really fast. And Yelan can tank some hits if necessary) This compilation worked for me in all chambers in Floor 12 and I'm sticking to it in this abyss x)

Nahida, Thoma, Bennett, Xingqui is suprisingly good for 12-2. I tried Xiangling instead of Thoma but Thoma's shield is much more safer because of the anti-knockback.

Survivability was indeed a problem to me for the second half. I'll definitely go for more survivability on the second half on the next re-clear. Something like Xingqiu, Beidou and Bennett... The last unit is gonna be Xiangling or Kazuha. Some survivability for 12-3-1 is also necessary, but IMO nothing comparable to 12-1-2. For this Abyss 12 I used Yae, Raiden, Kazuha, YaoYao for the first half and Nahida, Xingqiu, Xiangling, Bennett for the second half. But once again, surviving 12-1-2 was a pain.

I actually really liked this first chamber. Had to do many attempts and look for such tips but when you know what you do it's.. well. doable. I'm not gonna say it's easy but i like a challenge. And it's cool that there are so many predictable things here. Like the positioning. When you dash back there at the beginning, you can be at least 90% sure they are grouping up there perfectly. Barely did it with 2 seconds left, my teams were: 1st half: Beidou, DMC, Fischl, Sucrose 2nd half: Xiangling, Bennet, Rosaria, Jean (for Sunfire, it really melts those shields)

Starting to think hyv is trying to make floor 12 not brute forcible as much as possible while keeping some sort of gimmick to make the 3 stars come in just barely with f2p units. Is it annoying and time consuming? Yeah. But until something that's not timer based comes out this is probably the best we'll get. Honestly I like this push for making varied teams more.

I just cleared 12-3 with aggravate (beidou, yaoyao, fischl and kazuha) and thoma burgeon (nahida, xingqui, bennett and thoma) second side shredded the boss in around 1 min. 1st side i found that trying to always keep on the blue one helped. The blue ones attacks often cause it to ungroup from the green one. The green one will follow most of the time. Hope this helps and good luck.

Teams I've used that were surrprisingly effective: 1st half: International (Kazuha & Xiangling have fav) 2nd half: Hu Tao, Yelan/Xq, Nahida, Shinobu (this team procs a ton of different reactions, from burning, vape and burgeon to quicken and hyperbloom) Finished 1st half around the 8:50 mark Hu Tao is a bit tricky tho, since she likes using up stamina and the cryo heralds take it away

Depends on your second team. Imo keeping kazuha first half is fine. Kazuha isn't really needed for second half I'd suggest Nahida National for 2nd half if u have Nahida. If not then you just play national core with chongyun or rosaria or kaeya.

Yeah Ayaka is really good on the first half, she can clear 12-1-1 in 55 seconds and she is good on 12-3-1 as well, however, I cleared 12-3-1 faster with Nahida hyperbloom double hydro

disregarding burgeon in the second side is a little sus... when it is arguably the strongest team to bring into side 2 overall. burgeon alone hard carries side b and having the hydro will prove useful vs Baptist's pyro shield. also thunder manifestation being infused by electro means a burgeon/OL character eats it for breakfast. -thoma/diluc/klee /c4 yanfei + bennett + dendro mc/nahida/yao yao + Xingqiu: flexible enough team that you can put leftover characters from the dps check vs consecrated beast

Love the guide! One question, I'm struggling quite a bit with this, because I don't have Bennet, so my second half is missing a healer, and I usually do different comps than what most suggest (being Bennet in almost any team). At the moment I'm doing second half with a burgeon team with Thoma, Xingqiu, Yaoyao and the last slot I switch between an Electro, Pyro or Dendro, but still it's stressing me out a lot. Any suggestions as team comp for someone that doesn't have Bennet?

I was gonna suggest Thoma, so I think that Burgeon team you've got is good. For the last slot, I recommend a strong Pyro applier because Thoma alone won't output enough Pyro application (his Burst has standard ICD, so it only chips the Cryo shields every 2.5s). Xiangling or maybe Yanfei would be good there I think.

My tip for current abyss is simple First half would be best if u run a aggravate or nilou bloom team. Second half would be reverse melt or burgeon team From my experience going for Keq/Raiden/Yae/Beidou Fischl Kazuha/Sucrose Kirara/Yaoyao Makes first half easy Nahida XQ XL Bennet Makes second half easy With these teams u can clear without needing 5* weapons at all. I also cleared with HoD on keqing which is something everyone has at R5 assuming you don't fodder everything lol

I got hit twice in this run, but trust me i took 0 dmg when i wasn't screen recording lmao

12-1 first half you don’t need anemo to group them. Just know where to stay to lure them. Anyway anemo with VV set is useful, because 12-3 first half request high dps.

Idk, i was never getting ult back against the abyss heralds and dont really understand why. I was running 270% ER on benett with fav but legit couldnt get his ult without casting E multiple times. I feel like im missing some sort of mechanic.

Ya favonius and sac effects can’t proc against shields so you really need all the ER you can get. Make sure to be really diligent about using Bennett’s Skill as frequently as possible and catch those energy particles with Bennett or Xiangling (whoever needs it more at the time).

It's a bit hard for her to take advantage of the passive effect, since it requires you to stack normal attacks, but if you can weave those into your rotation, then I think it'd be great. Even if you're not able to, it's a strong weapon for its high stats alone.

Chamber 1 would be so much easier if it was 2 waves of 6 enemies instead of 4 waves of 3 enemies. If all the flowers and constructs spawned at the same time we could beat each wave with one ration and probably save at least 30 seconds and then have an easier time beating the second half. I think from here on out we are gonna see the enemies being split into waves more often as a way to increase the difficulty which is unfortunate because I really don't like it.

from here on out, i won’t pursue 36 stars anymore. too much waves of enemies and nonsensically ridiculously difficult RNG patterns. *i’m done.* it’s not worth it to experience this immensely unenjoyable and exceedingly stressful Abyss just to get the last 50 primos of 36 stars. i run the numbers, and i should be more than fine. i will miss out on 100 primos per month (50 primos per 2 weeks abyss rotation = 100 primos per month). 100 x 12 months = 1,200 primos per year. 1,200 primos = 7.5 wishes. I can let go of 7.5 wishes each year. and i’ll be much happier. haha! f**k 36 stars. 😂

@@0rganic0live0il2 i play on mobile, so it’s extra harder for me. i’d do some retries for floor 12, but i’m not spending any more than 1-2 hours redoing a stressful floor 12 just to get 50 primos. also, I really dislike that you have to go through previous chambers again just to try a different comp for upper chambers. It defeats the purpose of experimentation of team comps. I wanna try my luck with a freeze team for 12-3, but can’t use a freeze team in 12-1. it’s an unnecessary prolonging of an unenjoyable difficulty. I got 35 stars. i’m done. 50 primogems is not worth it for me anymore.

I think you're referring to the lack of the Bloom effect. Try turning off "Bloom" in your Graphics settings and it'll make the colors in the game more "flat" like what you see in my video. I turn it off when I'm recording videos to decrease strain on my CPU.

i think it depends on the specific team/characters you’re working with, but generally i would say Yaoyao is a more flexible option over Lumine/Aether since she has lower ER requirements and consolidates the dendro applier + healer role

I think she will perform similarly but isn’t necessarily a big upgrade. Yao yao’s main advantage is that she doubles as your healer and is also very tanky so she helps a lot with survivability. But since this half isn’t too much of a damage threat, you don’t really need that, and she just becomes a regular Dendro applier.

Most people seemed to have problems with the first set of chambers but I felt it was the easiest but I do run pyro Keqing so 12-1-2 was especially easy. My issue was more swapping Keqing over to the consecrated beasts since my Pyro infused girl wasn't likely to do well vs the baptist. But in the next version of abyss, I think im gonna try anyway. Might have to swap out one for dendro to do it. The consecrated beasts were totally the hardest part of this cycle. Its somewhat easy to beat 2 of them but unless you clear the first wave of them with your rotation setup to go again, it gets really clunky really fast. Bennett probably got me killed a lot more than he helped vs them. Being at 70% max health with a pyro aura on yourself is a great way to get 1 shot.

@@igu4443 I mean each normal attack infused with pyro is going to have its on icd. This means it will still be effective to swap between 2 characters who can get infused and spam their normals back and forth. Especially so if the one is Bennett because he will also get the faster skill cd being in his burst and that will also have its own application icd that doesn't affect his normals application. This is exactly why Chongyun used to be used vs Heralds about a year ago and probably one of the few niches he really has left outside of meme infuses (which I did for a year before pyro). But if you swap between 2 people spamming cryo infused normals vs a hydro shield, they basically cant move because you are applying cryo at a faster rate than of you stayed on the same character and used their normals at a normal rate. Remember each skill, normal, charged attack, and burst all have their own timers on how fast they can apply an element if they are capable of. The normal rate is 2.5 seconds or every 3 hits if the 3 hits of the same type of attack come out faster than 2.5 seconds. Its kinda mathy but its sooooo important for learning how to deal with shields in this game like how this abyss works. Its why someone like Nahida can completely shred hydro shields as a catalyst user by mixing up her normals, her ca, and her low cd on her skill.

@@igu4443f you have bennett on you team, the fastest way to destroy a cryo shield is to get your off-field abilities off and then on-field him to spam his e and if you have C6, he can apply slightly more with his normals

Cries without Zhong Li/Kazuha/Ganyu/Ayaka and with a lvl 20 C0 Thoma/Rosaria 😭 I finished 12-1 with Raiden + Bennett + XL + Nahida, but then i decided to reset and put XQ instead of Raiden to help with the Pyro shield of the last boss and... boy oh boy... I just couldn't finish 12-1-2 again for like... 1h!? Characters just kept dying over and over again NotLikeThis Then, after finally passing 12-1 again, my Nahida died to the Bat AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME as he died too, so... yeah... fuck my life.. I just alt+f4'd out of this fucking game 😭

I had a blast in abyss really nice lineup for this rotation, mixing dps checks but also forcing you to bring in specific elements ... 12-3 was something I hoped they would do someday a challenge vs 4 consecrated beasts... A little sad it was the same pair twice, the dendro/hydro then pyro/electro on wave 2 would have been cherry on top...

I originally planned to tackle 12-3 first, but as I was attempting that, I myself got killed on 12-1 (second half) so many times, that I figured a lot of other players might have the same problem. So I decided to get 12-1 out of the way first to give players a better idea of how to get through it, and hopefully will lay down the groundwork for a smoother passage up to 12-3. 12-2 is my lowest priority because those are bosses we have seen many times before.

Cause 12-3 is fairly easy if you just bring right elements for baptist (beast are nothing new a this point). Bennet-Xingqiu-Nahida-(Xiangling/Thoma) is one example of a team that most players should have pieces for and deal with baptist's shields easily. 12-1 is more problematic to let alone not die while moving to clear further floors and clearing in time is just another level of pain.
