The thing I really notice watching this performance is the real bond between both of them. Floor has stated several times that she sees her band mates as her older brothers. And of course every member of the band feels the same about her. You can see that love when they embrace towards the end of the song. You just can’t fake that kind of genuine kinship. You see that a lot watching Nightwish performances and the audience feeds off it. It’s rare to see that.

This is from the annual "Raskasta Joulua" (Heavy Christmas) tour, where our frontline metal artists perform traditional Christmas songs with some metal twist. There is also some foreign guests, like Floor, who has joined in a couple of times. It's very famous show here and the main concert has shown on one of our major tv-channels always a little before Christmas. In this performance Marko sings in Finnish and Floor in Italian and in English. In the beginning Marko asked the audience to set the lighters and so on. 🎅⛄👍

I do it too, pop on some NW and it makes my day better. If I may add this, with AO it feels like Marco had to hold back (his voice was too strong and powerful). With Floor he could again show us what a beautiful voice he has. (Maybe Floor taught him some tricks too 🤷🏻‍♀️) Floor also doesn’t mind being a “back-up” singer if you know what I mean. He backs her up perfectly and she backed him up and gave him the platform and freedom to show the world what he can do.

Nightwish is good for mental health. I was in a very dark place when I found out about them and it has significantly changed my mental state. I only wish I could meet them and tell them all how much they have helped me and what they mean to me. As for Marko, I wish nothing but the best for him. Whether he comes back to Nightwish, goes into one of his side projects, comes out with something new, or decides to stay retired, he will always be treasured by millions of people from all over the world.
