ahaha, well it's somewhat true, Floor is just giving some insights, but as she said already you do need someone to look over you while you do exercises and correct mistakes. Then you will probably need someone else to correct the mistakes that first one allowed (or taught) you to do.

As a classical music student who knows a lot of classical singers it's very interesting to see how much your vocal techniques and warmups are related to the stuff I hear them do. I expected it would have a lot more in common with what the jazz/pop department singers do, but actually it's closer to classical. Very cool!

one of my biggest problems to reach out the high notes was that i took a lot of air before singing them, and this video helped me to realize that i don't need to much air, but support! dankjewel to the real queen of The Netherlands

I think having some vocal lessons with a coach is necessary to understand what Floor is talking about here, but these exercises are fantastic! I'm glad you pointed out the necessity of having enough twang... Also the feeling of biting into an apple is seriously helping me! I don't take weekly lessons, I only take them when I'm able to afford them, but this is seriously helping me build on the knowledge I already have so thank you Floor 😭

I have to admit, you got me thinking. I do a lot of open mics, and I REALLY should warm-up at home. Many times, I have been up, and my throat wasn't ready for a particular song and it showed. REALLY bad. Now I warm up in the car if I forget.

Haha, de oefening vanaf 7:20 minuten heb ik vorig jaar van mijn moeder (zangpedagoge) geleerd. Ik doe deze oefening vaak als ik wat spanning heb. Het werkt echt ontspannend😊. Je had m’n vriend zijn gezicht moeten zien toen hij mij voor het eerst deze oefening zag doen.🙈👏🏻

This IS amazing! I never sang so I am still trying to understand, it feels like the inverse of what we are used to. When you say relax or let go, that's actually when you breath in, and when you are controlling the muscles is during the breathing out. Fascinating stuff. I would always associate relax with breathing out all at once. I love your didactic!
