I've scheduled a porch install about a week ago. Google weather said today and tomorrow would be nice. Now it's calling for rain tomorrow. Do you advise I wait for no rain the day of and day after glue down. The porches are exposed

Yes 72 hours after the install

I like your screwdriver trick for making a valley for the Seam sealer. I’m stealing that trick from you and will always be doing that from now on. And every time I do that I will be thinking of you lol . Thanks. See I guess you can teach a guy like myself with 19 years experience. I’ve never seen that done. But makes sense. Thank you. Thank you.

This looks great, do you have any videos showing how you cut the carpet at the walls? How do I get it to look so good along the walls?

Garbage carpet, I thought you were going to do it the way that we do it right away from the beginning you pulled the row out first and then cut it right where you pulled the row works great every time

I wish you had been my contractor, they used very knotty treated plywood on my sunroom floor and my indoor outdoor carpet will be installed tomorrow. I had no clue you needed to sand seams or fill in knot holes. I hope my $1000 floor looks decent.

Make sure they do that before they install it, they are working for you ,you are the boss

This is really helpful. One question. I assume that the plywood flooring is exterior plywood. If yes, exterior plywood can be wet Do you have to wait for the wood to dry before installing the carpet.
@FloorsbySouthernboys4 жыл бұрын
Matthew Slavin Yes sir you want it dry so that you get a good adhesion
@matthewslavin71764 жыл бұрын
@@FloorsbySouthernboys Thanks. Do you have any recommendations on the brand of carpet glue? I am carpeting a 3 season porch that will be exposed to the elements. Rain, ice, snow.. Also - Should I be looking at Marine carpet or is a good indoor/outdoor carpet sufficient? I really appreciate your help on this!
@FloorsbySouthernboys4 жыл бұрын
Matthew Slavin And indoor outdoor carpet will be good, however you do want to use some outdoor adhesive which is approximately three times more expensive than the traditional glue but it will hold up to the elements, if you have a carpet store in your area I would go to the carpet store and just see what they have for Glue, the main thing is that it is outdoor carpet glue
