Dark Skies was to The X-Files what Webster was to Diff'rent Strokes. I saw ONE episode of Meego and I thought Bronson Pinchot was playing a mix of Mr. Belvedere and Third Rock from the Sun. Weird fact... the BBC considered suing UPN, since several of the writers on Homeboys In Outer Space were in the writer's room for the failed the Red Dwarf U.S.A. pilot. Laqueita bore a bit too many similarities to Holly and Android was basically Kryten.

Yeah I hope people enjoyed that we didn't even mention Red Dwarf. Almost everything you can find on Homeboys in Outer Space winds up turning into a discussion about Red Dwarf. Which makes sense. Thought it would be nice to give the show a space of it's own for a change. Really strange that Red Dwarf had so many seasons and it's almost unheard of in the US. This just reminded me that it's time to bring back Tales from the Crypt. Reboots and legacy sequels are everywhere now and nothing is easier to reboot (in concept, at least) than an anthology series. Let's get some shovels and dig up the Cryptkeeper.

Tales from the Crypt is plagued in copyright problems which would make a revival incredibly difficult. The rights are split between multiple entities with the Cryptkeeper puppet alone having its rights independently owned. This is the same reason it isn't streaming anywhere even on HBO.

Yep. And “Community” did a great episode making fun of it. That’s where “6 seasons and a movie” came from. Abed loved “The Cape” (2011) and despite Jeff saying it was terrible and would be canceled, Abed insisted it would go 6 seasons and a movie. 😄 But I had seen the first episode, maybe 2 episodes of The Cape and it was terrible in my opinion. My friends all said it was one of the many ripoffs of the X Files after that started getting popular, but I'm convinced that with it's focus on historical footage being manipulated, it was actualy a ripoff of... Perversions of Science was great. I've seen one or two episodes in my life. My cousin had HBO in 90s. Was it me or was the 80s/90s was know for having a sexy host with most. i.e. Elvira, USA up all night Rhonda Shear to name a few. I miss the old black sitcoms that were actually funny seems humor has deteriorated over time. Arsenio wasn't a bad show remember tuning in a few weeks and off the air. Just like homeboys in outer space. Which was one of the hardest shows to keep up with. UPN premiered the show and after that it kept moving around random time slots. Then eventually dissappear. Lost on earth was so raunchy at times. I actually looked forward to watching that twisted show as a kid. Meego felt too similar to mork and mindy in my opinion, but at the time I had a crush on Michelle Tranchtenberg...that may have kept me around 😅

They had a pad on the ship that pretty much served whatever purpose they needed it to from episode to episode. I wanna say she briefly manifests herself on that at least once. But I could be picturing "space chicks" they'd have pop up during passing jokes that didn't really have anything to do with the episodes. And a bunch of other characters used it to "beam aboard". Surprising they never whipped up a futuristic way to travel with her. They chose to lug that unplugged TV around everywhere instead. 😅👍
