Wow, she's come a long way vocally. When I saw this performance I had just discovered Florence and she was still on the ascent. I thought this was the best performance ever, but after watching subsequent performances where she got progressively better over the course of a year, this is actually a pretty lame performance by Flo's standards. She even sounded better on SNL than on here. But this is proof of how much she's improved as a singer, so this isn't a diss at all! I love Flo.

It’s definitely not a dis. She’s only got better and better with each performance. She’s never went backward. 15 years later and her voice and performance has only became matured and seasoned. How this woman hasn’t received a Grammy yet is just incredibly sad like she’s been robbed year after year.

My current obsession too! Amazing live performer- this one, and My Boy Builds Coffins - gotta give it to her - the girl can really belt it out! I hear the Siouxie influence, but Siouxie's wailing sounds much more controlled and she seems/sounds bored live.
