The DK Socks look lovely! I just bought 3 balls of the sandnes garn perfect, to knit socks for my dad. I had petite knits sunday socks in mind, but I looove your mountain walk design and would love to make it for him instead!

Your modification to the Chestnut sweater looks good. I prefer the neat shoulder line created when increasing and picking up stitches over the shoulder join similar to the Marseille sweater. It wasn't until your video that I understood how it was done.

loved this podcast as per usual!! I'm so intrigued by your isager gradient jumper! there's a new yarn shop that's just opened in richmond (a few tube stops away from chiswick if your visiting Valentina's shop) called knit with me that I'd really recommend!! the selection is perfection and it's a really gorg shop 💛

Yay, I loved what you showed! I contemplated buying the Oslo Hat, Sophie Scarf, and Penny Gloves patterns for holiday gift knits, and I think I might just go for it after hearing you talk about the hat. The DK socks look so cozy and I can't wait to see your Isager mix jumper. I recently got some pretty pale blue yarn to improvise with, and hopefully come up with a pattern. It really reminded me of your signature soft blue and you continue to inspire my knitting so thank you!

I've made all three! I have made several sets of Penny Gloves as gifts and they're great. Actually, all three are really good patterns - basic but super reliable.

I’m also a big My Ivory Room fan! Have recently finished a jumper for my husband in Loch Lomond, knitted on 5mm needles at a 18x24 gauge. Very happy with the fabric as it’s so lightweight but not at all sheer. Will be interested to see how you get on with. Congratulations on and good luck with you new job.

ooh that’s interesting! I had no idea it would work out knitted on such big needles, I will have to swatch

I'm so in awe of you being so skilled as to make your own patterns. I came to knitting very late (about a year ago) and am only completed 4 projects, the biggest being a circle scarf. I did learn how to pick up dropped stitches though, so yaay! I watch you and think *wow* such talent. OMG, I love those socks!! I wish I was skilled enough to knit socks. I failed sock class, and fear them greatly. :(

I‘m sure you can do it! Use one of the KZbin Tutorials and just try to get through the first pair without being too hard on yourself. That’s what I did a few weeks ago. My first pair looks absolutely chaotic hahah but I’m still very proud of it and managed to knit a second pair already. I also just started out and sometimes struggle with this, but we should really try to enjoy knitting and not feel bad for having less experience than others. It’s already an amazing skill to be able to knit at all and I’m sure your four projects are very special and beautiful!

I would give a lot to have your knowledge and could variate all these patterns…. The yellow sweater…..😍. I know I have already mentioned it… As all patterns are at least a little like another one…, couldn’t you designs on your own? I mean available for people like me who are not capable to make all those changes😬? Is that abspielen question? In case…, I am really sorry.🙏 Congrats for your great deal you made with the yarn of your husband! You make me jealous🙈…., all that nice yarn! But: I am so thankful that you speak so much about the yarn and the amount of yarn you need for your projects. Really…, so many details… thank you very very much! ( nevertheless I didn’t understand the yarn you used for the sweater you are wearing. Could someone repeat it please?) Uh…, it would be my death to have a nice yarn store I could go to everyday…. Unfortunately I live near a town which has just one single yarn store and this…, well … no! So I have to buy online and I have no chance to see the real color or even can touch it before buying it. Therefore it’s so great for me that you speak so much about the yarn, even …if I can’t get it here😢. Nevertheless I am happy for you! Much much luck with all your plans. And thanks again for all that information! It is so great to have found somebody who mostly (no almost always) loves exactly the same colors and projects you love yourself….🍀 (I hope in the Uk this 🍀 is also a sign of luck)

All lovely Florence but I'm curious also about your planner ( loved the grid pages) and the floral shopper bag. I didn't catch the name. Would love to know the brands of both . Thanks.
@handmadebyflorence Жыл бұрын
sure! the bag is from marimekko, it’s a little expensive but by far my favourite reusable shopping bag i’ve tried! the planner is a kokuyo jibun techo days, I prefer it to the hobonichi techo if you do more planning than journalling/drawing :)

yes!! I have a small but very well loved collection of fountain pens (mostly sailor pro gear slim) - I don’t think it’s as rare as you think though, I see knitting mentioned a surprising amount on the fountain pen subreddit
