I am an artist living and working in France. I learned the techniques of the Atelier of the Nineteenth century and now I try to share some of my knowledge with the rest of the world, because I think that beauty still has an important role to play in artistic creation. there are so many wonderful things about you course here. Obviously the painting and info its self, but also the general tone you carry in voice and presentation is so warm and nurturing. Then there the attention to beauty of composition even in showing a basic tube of paint or palette shot. Then there is the film style color correction and artful video of you talking has as a cinematic feel. I guess im saying and, while i hate the trendiness of the slang, i truly appreciate you, your work and your generosity . i look forward to each youtube release you do .

J'ai débuté ton cours sur les bases de la peinture.....Excellent l'Artiste 😊👍Je passe de débutant à artiste débutant😅Je ne parvenait pas à reproduire une peinture similaire à chacun de mes portraits car je ne comprenais pas bien "ma technique". Florent, great video. Im a painter in major creative struggling! My monochromatic stage looks great but feels not complete. When i try to upgrade it with color it goes downhill and becomes too boring.. what to do?

Hi Florent, if the underpainting is fully dry, does the fat over lean rule even matter? You wont have a fast curing layer over a slow curing layer, as the layer below will have already cured?
