Love seeing that you use diamonds core. I use a number of their products and find them well made and their customer service wonderful.

Dear Florian, thank you for all the knowledge you are sharing with the community of potters and ceramic fans. I love your crackle glaze; is it food safe and easy clean up?

You should make them in Black too. 🖤

Why is the bottom left unglazed? I had one bowl with unglazed part. It is super hard to clean up after dinner. And I hate the feeling of touching/scrubbing that unglazed bit.. so I’m just curious. Is not glazing the bottom entirely for aesthetics?

As there's no foot well in the plates. It couldn't be glazed as if it was the glaze would fuse with the kiln shelves. All ceramic pieces have unglazed parts, most of them are the ring of the pot that touches the kiln when firing

Do these not warp bc of the small curve in on the bottom?

why not just cut a circle out of a thin sheet of clay? seems awfully wasteful
@bikinibro11 ай бұрын
It would explode/break in the kiln. Also, any. Clay you dont use can just be remolded. He has videos about his personal process for this.

The process is way more fun and challenging, and the coning that he does prevents cracks better than just using a rib on a circle. He can also control the thickness better than a slab roller that he doesn’t even have and like the other people said, clay is incredibly recyclable

I think it would have a great potential to warp that way plus hand building isn't his style!

A video without your doggie in it is slightly less fabulous.
