Can you put depleted charcoal into a electric forge to get a reduaction effect? It theoretically could as it would burn off the oxygen in the kiln.. Also could you use argon which is heavier than air and fill the bottom of a top opening electric forge to remove oxygen entirely?

I felt that. The entire video. Only those who understand the feeling in your gut when creating, the ‘pull’ from within, will understand the true beauty and meaning from each moment in this video. ❤

I liked the unfired #4 and the last one you showed unfired. For the fired one I like the last one you showed and like the narrow base one as well but wouldn’t buy it to use. But that last one is just right. :)

2 and 5 are definitely my favorites. I tend to consider myself a very maximalist type of person, but something about the simplicity is really very charming to me. I also really love heavy vessels, whether visually or physically-it’s one of the reasons I tend to be so biased towards stoneware-and the thickness of the designs appeals to me, and is quite satisfying.

I’d love to see that jar with a lid that looked like an old fashioned thermos stopper. The same thickness but with a diameter 3/4 to 1 inch greater than the jar’s opening.

I have followed you for such a long time and I have found your videos both inspiring and overwhelming in equal amounts. I have tried throwing before and took to it quite naturally (apparently) and long to try again, but felt my perfectionism and overthinking would hinder my progress. But seeing how much of an overthinking perfectionist gremlin you are, I might just get back into it! 😂❤ Thank you Florian! I do adore your work, your style and of course, your dog!! Happy festive season and I hope 2025 is wonderful for you

I actually like the bloating on the edge of the step. Kinda reminds me of 90's school folders, and the classic "black and white checkerboard with a spherical bulge" design.

Clay gaslighting is a real thing for me. Makes me think I somehow lost all my technique that were completely fine for many months. I just have to tell myself if I was doing fine before, it's probably the clay body being bad or difficult to work with or just a bad day or week.

From a practical standpoint, if the foot of the mug could be sized to fit over or inside the mug to make it easier to stack the cups in the cupboard, that would be great for those of us who are not super organized. From a design perspective, the cups with the two outside rings should not be the same width, IMO. Refer to picture frames or house mouldings as examples of this principle.
