Dude, I never comment on anybody's KZbin posts, but as a born and bred native south Floridian who lives in Miami and frequents the Florida Keys every other weekend, this was one of the most comprehensive, enjoyable videos of my hometown I have ever seen on KZbin. Phenomenal job on this! God bless you and your Pops. Treasure the time you have together!! I only wish I would have done this with my dad to have these kind of memories on video forever.

I grew up in miami on Biscayne Bay and the Julia Tuttle Causeway ( beach-airport) My mother often took us to the glades back when (the 50s) all they had was primitive boardwalks and Purple Gallinules would eat from our hands. Fairchild Garden was not overly developed then. Entrance was free and I spent a lot of time there just wandering or sitting and reading a book. Miami, then, was a wonderful place to grow up. This was like a trip home. Thank you.

I grew up in Key Largo and I LOVE Mrs. Mac's, but the best Breakfast in the Upper Keys (aside from the obvious morning-time sunrise beer and eggs at the Lorelai) would be at Harriette's with their Key Lime Muffins! I'm sad it's too expensive down there for people born and raised in the keys to actually live down there but whenever I'm down there visiting I always try to hit up my old haunts.

I'm glad that you brought up the National Park Visitor's Center and their passport stamps. I always buy a couple of their best NP scenic postcards, hit them with their stamp, retrieve a couple of postage stamps from my wallet, stamp them, and then drop them in their mailbag. Nice mementos. I used to teach Geology of National Parks, have visited over half of them, but not Dry Tortugas. THANK YOU!!! "Your safety IS YOUR responsibility" should not have to be on a sign! COMMON SENSE! I have just discovered your site and truly appreciate your quiet, respectful, and well photographed videos. Too many 'visitors' are just noisy and rude. Thank you!

Viscaya and Venitian pool were my favorite places as a kid. I grew up in the then western edge of Miami when Bird Road ended across a bridge into farm land then into the eastern edge of the Everglades. Many weekends were spent in the Glades enjoying nature until development started draining the swamps I grew up in. All those places you're visiting are wonderful, but what's more exciting is seeing you and your dad traveling together. You'll always look back on those times and see how much fun you had with your Dad. Love your travels.
