SUMMARY: This amendment would require the state’s Homestead Tax Exemption to be tied to the Consumer Price Index. Hence, when inflation increases property values, the homestead exemption would also increase, helping ease the tax burden on Florida’s families. We strongly encourage a YES vote to ensure the Homestead Exemption keeps pace with rising inflation.
