I'm 68 years old. I've seen, been through and survived hurricanes, tornadoes and floods. So many people and animals in so many states are going to be effected by this entire storm system and the spin off tornadoes and water spouts. There will be personal and business property damage in the billions on land and at sea. Land will be stripped. Crops and orchards destroyed. Food and medical services will be difficult to maintain and obtain. There will be shortages. We'll lose clean water, gas and electricity. Some people will be critically injured or die. It's going to take a long time to recover. Criminally minded people will still commit crimes. They always do. The rest of us need to commit our way to God and seek His wisdom in all that we do. Be kind. Stay safe.

We're in Dothan, Alabama and know we're going to be hit. All I could think of doing with the 3 rocking chairs on the porch was to tie them securely to the porch columns so that they wouldn't be blown through our glass patio doors. I texted my son to find out how he planned to secure the chairs. He's a genius. ❣❣❣ He had already put them in the back of the van.

They should have been getting out for days. "In2 Thin Air" Brian who has this app on KZbin has been talking about this hurricane at this strength, a 3 to 5 hurricane for some days now. If people had been listening to him they would have started leaving three or four days ago. But even the weather channel on TV yesterday evening wasn't even talk about how it was going to be a hurricane.😮😢

Not everyone can afford to leave 4-5 days early. They work. They have bills to pay. Plenty of people simply do not have the money to evacuate.

Not everyone can leave that far in advance! For example, I have work and school. College classes didn’t get cancelled until late Tuesday, and I work in healthcare so they expected us to stay for the storm. However I got to evacuate yesterday evening.
