The surgeon was just negligent. Drs are people and they make mistakes. Some even struggle with substance use which would really make sense here
@djjay-kay76362 ай бұрын
@@dennisasamoah3901 probably but at the same time have you not heard about how hospitals treat organ donors? They will refuse to save them and many times become negligent in order to sell their organs to companies that harvest body parts around the US. There were cases where bodies were getting lost and weren't being accounted for yet the hospitals were still making money and many of these deals were suspected to be black market activity in order to make more money off of these bodies. Look up severe splenomegaly on CT scan. Look at the pictures. They are way bigger than the liver. Also the spleen can wander as well. Its easy to jump to conclusions if we are not knowledgable on this medical information. I am a radiologist so I see extremely large spleens everyday. Now, I am not a surgeon, so should he have been able to physically see the difference between the two by the vessels or color, etc. I don't know. Let's not jump ahead of ourselves. I am sure he will be taken to court and they will find out if it was an honest mistake or if fishy business was going on. Even though the entire situation is terrible, it seems plausible.
@bapesta17252 ай бұрын
I hear you, but you're telling me, a licensed surgeon with years of study can't tell the difference between an enlarged spleen and a liver? Engorged or not, the spleen doesn't even look like the liver. You wouldn't be saying honest mistake if that was your family that died on the operating table due to gross negligence
@themanwelch2 ай бұрын
@@bapesta1725 should he be able to tell the difference? I honestly don’t know . As a radiologist, a spleen has the same density and color as a liver on a CT scan . If the spleen wandered into the position of the liver it would take a while for me to figure out what’s going . Now my senior partners with 25 years of experience will probably be able to tell faster than I could with more efficiency .now I am not a surgeon . Then I don’t know his experience or the complications of the case. Now if I was the person family member , I would be angry and I would be suing . Whether it was negligence or mistake he will have to pay for that. However , I am not family , so I try to take a neutral point of view. Someone has to be neutral to analyze the situation from both sides.
