@@deepz513 no need for supplements, do an elimination diet, get rid of all carbs and sweeteners first, replace with 1 to 2 apples or pears a day (of melons, berries, whatever, no pineapple, no mango, they have high fructose) Pears like asian pears are my favorite, and for apples I love honeycrisps and cosmic crisps but they are high in sugar content but its has fibers to slow down the glucose process. This alone helped me lose 50 pounds in 5 months. If I quit all fruits and dairy, I would've lost 20-30 pounds a month, its tough, im getting there. If you do quit all forms of sweeteners and carbs, like a keto diet or carnivore, and have high fat meats and butter, your acidity levels in your blood can rise and cause headaches, which only means you need to stay hydrated all the time. at least 250ml of water per hour. Only supplement I use is magnesium and electrolytes drops for my water. Before adding anything to your life, you need to remove things first, or replace those with others, temporarily. do it until you reach your health goals and then have fruit again.

I had an abdominal CT for an unrelated matter and the doctor said it came back “perfect”. Something told me to go online and check the CT reading myself. The diagnosis was fatty liver disease. The doctor didn’t think it was any kind of a problem and didn’t think I needed to hear about it. However, it explains the fact that I have skinny arms and legs like twigs but a massive belly, I have lost 50% of my hair, high cholesterol, blood sugar problems and have thyroid and hormone problems. All of those can be explained by a toxic liver but doctors are so clueless because they don’t know anything about anything unless it’s a big Pharma symptom pill.

Whenever you get a labs done ask for your actual numbers, not whether or not you passed or failed. They don’t even check the actual numbers it seems unless you ask because they always seems surprised when they actually look into it and realize the truth. Then when they do check for you they suddenly see if your right on the border or not. I’ve always caught health issues right before they became health issues that would need meds and then naturally got my body back into order or I wouldn’t need them. And then doctors act surprised like you did nothing to fix it when you try to tell them you chose natural solutions to fix it. 🤦🏽‍♀️ i’ve gone from borderline diabetes to perfect A1c and maybe you should take these meds for Graves’ disease to perfectly healthy thyroid, and so on. Doctors get less than 36 hours of nutritional education and the education they do get has nothing to do with actual preventative health, but rather contraindications with medications “if” they got a good education on foods.

Same here. Had colonoscopy 3 years ago and upper GI scope. Dr. didn't telle they found fatty liver When I had my follow up colonoscopy this yr, I discovered they prior diagnosis when I was reading my records I told Dr my recent appointment that I stumbled on this info and his comment was "A lot of people have fatty liver.*. I said "but it can lead to cirosis of liver. He looked surprised and said "well if you are concerned, we can do a fibroscan" which I said I wanted. Waiting for results. I think Drs. have given up hope that patients care or will change. You MUST be your own doctor in terms of demanding answers and seeking solutions. You can't turn your health over to doctors and expect good health,IMHO.

3 months ago I was shocked when my GP told me my blood test showed high enzymes in my liver. The symptoms I had were tiredness and a tremor in my leg. I 've never drunk any alcohol. A few weeks later I got pain in my right shoulder that wouldn't go away. My cholesterol was 6.5. I started taking 'Active Liver' capsules, drank 2 litres of water each day plus tea and coffee, went for long walks and cut down on fats. I also started eating grapefruit every day. Last week I went for a follow up blood test and I'm delighted to say that my liver enzymes are normal again. The shoulder pain has gone. Hope this helps.

Also, when buying supplements make sure your B Vitamins are B Complex Plus ( Pure Encapsulations brand ) as they’re methylated B Vitamins, they are already bioavailable, they don’t need converted!! I got rid of my fatty liver in just over a year. I drink too much and at a medical asked my doctor is it because of alcohol. He said no it's because of carbs which I found odd. Turns out your liver digest carbs, not your stomach. But when you eat carbs along with alcohol, your liver prioritizes dealing with alcohol as it's a poison. The carbs get squished away in a queue as it were causing the problem. So drinking alcohol with a meal that includes carbs is a bad idea. So from then on I kept carbs and alcohol apart. That was all I did and the fatty liver went. But frankly most people need to eat healthier and avoid nasty 'food like substances' that are sold to us in shiny packaging. Good luck to you.

I had fatty liver a few years ago. My doctor mentioned it after some test. But he just kept talking about the rest of my test. So I thought it must not be that bad. Same thing happened the next year but I then decided to check on what it meant myself. I couldn't believe he didn't seem to care or offer any advice. I have since changed my diet and life style. Lost 60 lbs so far and all my health problems are so much better. But why are doctors not telling us about this? It's so frustrating when those we trust to help us just don't.

Your entire visit would have to be discussing those liver function tests and there were probably multiple other things that had to be addressed. The doctor should have you make a special appointment to discuss fatty liver. Sadly, poor reimbursement from insurance companies is driving the 15 minute visit.

I was prediabetic, obese, and had NAFLD. I began a strategy of eating ONE glorious meal per day, with minimal carbs. After 6 months I was off 3 medications, lost 45lbs, cleared my liver of fat, and normalised by A1c (no longer prediabetic). After a year my weight is stable and I still avoid carbs, eating one or two meals per day. HDL up, TGL down. I eat meat, fish, eggs, bacon, and lots of green vegetables, Rarely fruit. Nothing with sugar, flour, pasta, potatoes, rice. Was I hungry?? IN the first 3 days my hunger was painful, but as the low carb diet started to have its effect, and my body fat began to burn my hunger changed to something very managable, after 2 weeks, although my gut was a bit noisy I did not really feel any of that deep hunger.

@alisonbamford6723
@alisonbamford6723 8 ай бұрын
It’s highly processed & refined now. Highly hybridised (so hybridised it’s probably wrong to even call it wheat!). Sprayed to within an inch of its life with an array of toxic chemicals. At the milling process, stripped of its ‘nutritional powerhouses’ the germ & bran (sold for profit to the supplements & ’costmetics’ industries), leaving nothing but the endosperm - the starch, sugars & gluten proteins, with none of the huge array of minerals, vitamins & phytonutrients the body needs in order to digest & utilise it with. If that wasn’t enough, it’s also put through the ‘fast-track’ Chorleywood’ process that churns out loaves within 2 hours or less - giving not nearly enough time for the yeasts to work on & pre-digest the sugars, starches & proteins so that we can digest it far more easily. My husband is very gluten sensitive. However, he can tolerate a bit of my traditionally made slow-rise (overnight in the refrigerator) bread (with no loose flour). If made with sourdough, it’s even better as the sourdough contains far more than the just one strain Saccharomyces Cervisiae yeast used by most bakeries, & the multi-strains generate even more nutrients (especially B vitamins, so crucial for digestion). It’s so mucked & meddled about with now that it may be pretty impossible to find any of the real original wheat strains grown back in Jesus’s day, for instance. Every time man tries to ‘improve’ our food, it’s removed further & further away from the hugely nourishing & beneficial food it once was.

Corn crops are prone to fungal infection. The reason that Hispanic people are more prone to fatty liver is that their diet is HIGH in corn. It is not actually the corn or wheat that is the problem, but the fungi that come with these crops. The fungal infection in the corn produces mycotoxins and aflatoxins, and these are known to be the root cause of the disease in humans. High fructose corn syrup is put in so many foods due to being cheap, but it comes with the mycotoxins and aflatoxins which trigger cancer, diabetes, obesity, fatty liver, etc. Cut out the foods prone to fungal infection, increase antifungal supplements, and you'll find your health improves overall.

Since then I have been hospitalized with necrotizing pancreatitis and had part of my pancreas removed, am now diabetic, developed celiac disease, and am on medication for A-fib. Still, none of my doctors have addressed my fatty liver. I even had it tested recently and all the doctor said was that I still had it. Maybe the medical community needs to be taught to understand the importance of it. I know I would have paid more attention to fixing it if the doctors had emphasized the importance of curing it and I would have been spared a lot of pain.

@@krisissupercool1 Are you sure? Were you following doctors like Fuhrman, McDougall, Barnard, Esselstyn, or Ornish? These guys have it exactly right when it comes to diet. What exactly were you eating? Many ppl who claim to be following a WFPB diet are eating bad carbs they are not supposed to be eating and then they blame it on the diet. Some simply love all the meat and dairy products and this gives them justification to start back eating these unhealthy foods that they have been craving all along....sad but true.

Both of our liver enzymes reports had elevated levels, until we changed our diets. We make our own whole grain bread and eat it everyday. It is the star of our diets, especially breakfast. We also eat beans and legumes, lots of vegetables, whole grains, and a little meat. We walk during our golf games 3-4 days per week. One of us had heart disease that is now reversed and we both have so much energy. We look much younger than we are, and now do things with friends who are 20 years younger. We actually crave a WFPB diet bc it makes us feel great. I love to cook, so I make many different recipes and have learned to make them mostly plant based. There is a plethora of recipes online. Try it!

My diet is fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, sardines. Pretty much Mediterranean diet. I'm 5' 5" weigh about 133 lbs. It isn't what you eat, it's sedentary lifestyle and high stress IMO. It's too simplistic to blame certain food. If we control stress and exercise, we should be able to enjoy unhealthy foods in moderation. I am under a liver clinic and I am being monitored every six months . Liver enzymes have improved but a fibro scan revealed very bad scarring . Watch what you eat . I have never smoked or drank alcohol and rarely drink soda . If I had to pick a negative I could have been more active and watched my portions of food . I did not eat badly only too much . Waiting for hormone testing as I think I have PCOS. can’t drop weight and breaking out like a teenager!!! 😩 thinking this is what’s driving my A1C up as I’m not diabetic. Plus I have CIRS. So frustrating. Wish we were made to learn this stuff in school!!! Thank God for the internet!

I have a BMI of 20. Never drink pop or fruit juice, no alcohol ever, avoid pain meds of any kind, no added sugar in my regular foods, but once in a while I have a piece of cake or a chocolate (birthdays mostly). Diet is mostly whole food. Lots of crucifers vegetables. But after my chemotherapy I developed a fatty liver. So I’ll try adding in the list you mention.

I think the fatty liver after chemo is a reaction to stress. I’m transitioned into a oil free WFPB diet the past 7 months and reversed my fatty liver and my diabetes is almost gone. But recently my cholesterol numbers doubled and liver enzymes went up the past 2 months. I think it’s the stress coz I underwent a few stressful triggers lately. Im still gonna continue WFPB and see what else can I do.

It's amazing just changing your diet, the health benefits that can be achieved! I basically cut out the soda and most refined sugars from my diet and for 3 years straight my liver numbers have come back in the normal range. And what's really sad is the fact my ex regular docs advice was to take 800 mg vitamin E everyday. That's it no questions about my diet or any other advice. Like I said he's now my EX doctor! It's up to us to keep ourselves healthy!

I have a fatty liver. I did keto for 8 years to control my diabetes and it got that under control, but, it did not help my liver. I do not eat sugar. I do not eat a lot of carbs. I don't eat true keto now, but, I do eat low carb, I don't drink soda ever, I never eat high fructose corn syrup, I eat primarily grass fed/grass finished beef, hormone free chicken, or wild caught fish, I only use pure oils i.e. olive oil, coconut oil, or pure lard, we eat very little corn or wheat or rice. So, why do I have fatty liver??

Good info doc! But personally for me, fat is the worst thing for my liver. Even the 'healthiest' ones. I have had liver issues since young (sludge in gallbladder, removal, followed by liver pain ever since, and severe fat intolerance). Eating fat shuts my body down so hard and makes my liver hurt WAY more! I have to actually eat a whole food plant based very low fat diet. Lots of potato and sweet potato & other veggies, and my liver loves that diet. Unfortunate because I would love to be able to eat normal fatty meats and so on. Low carb just does not agree with me at all. My liver for some reason needs light, low fat food or my entire body grinds to a halt with pain and severe dysfunction.

Have you tried adding bile salts? It's suppose to help if you no longer have a gallbladder. I just learned about this, after years of not knowing this, since I too had my gallbladder removed. I wish one of my doctors would have suggested this, but at least I know now. Hope this is something that helps you too!

With the gallbladder removed, your body needs bile salts to metabolize not only fats and proteins but the fat soluble vitamins - A, D3,E,and K2- needed for good health

Despite not being overweight, having no cholesterol issues, maintaining glucose within range, exercising regularly, practicing intermittent fasting, don't drink alcohol at all, I have been diagnosed with a fatty liver, with my alkaline phosphate value three times the recommended range. The ultrasound reveals a fatty, shining liver. However, I do consume fruit whenever I have an urge. I consulted doctors, who informed me that the condition has remained stable since I have had high alkaline phosphate levels for the past 15 years without drastic changes. I would appreciate any recommendations you may have in this regard.
