And we all know that most of that money isn't even going to the child. That money goes to the mother. It also makes me think about the biological father of this baby. Does he even know he's a father? Did he have a choice? Did he agree to this adoption? Nobody even seems to care, as long as some sucker is paying up for it. They make fathers look totally disposable. The feminist have totally succeeded in destroying the family, and the conservatives made it possible by holding men responsible for the consequences of women's choices. I think these conservatives should take some time to reflect on the situation and their part in the mess we now call Western society. Giving women applause for simply not killing their babies is ridiculous. If that's the standard for being a good woman these days, then something has gone horribly wrong.

You left a big piece of your heart when you selflessly left your beautiful daughter in that Safe Haven Box so that she could have the life you knew in your heart she deserved and you wouldn’t be able to provide for her. Please take care of yourself. Please take care of your heart. There is a missing piece that will only be filled when the day comes that Zoe comes looking for you. Her parents seem like such loving, open minded, supportive, and caring people. You couldn’t have found better parents for her if you handpicked them yourself.

(People will still assume a mother dropped the baby off cause ya know, societal general roles.) If a man drops off the baby at the baby box he does not have to pay child support. Custody of newborns always goes to the mother unless the state/cps claims custody because the mother is considered a danger to the child. And in those cases the fathers rights are also often ignored. They will simply put it up for adoption without even considering the father for custody. Men simply don't have rights within family law.

She for sure knew when she gave birth to a live baby and instead of asking people for help she threw him in a trash bag and suffocated him. Im sick of seeing these young girls commit murder or their own babies and barely get any time. ThAts first degree murder and they should serve life in prison. It’s sickening. Also that hospital was one where you could leave a baby no questions asked. She was at the one place where she had so much help she could have given the baby to a nurse and never seen it again if thats what she wished. She could have also requested they dont tell her mom seeing as she is an adult if thats what she was so worried about. Just evil .

So cute! These Boxes have made it so easy to do what’s right for the baby it should never come to a point where a mother puts her baby in a trash can,dumpster, or just thrown away! But sadly the wrong decisions are still happening! Even if there’s no box per say to put them in I’m sure they can still go to a hospital Dr office etc! I got pregnant at 16 but I always knew I’d keep my son so I know how scary it is to even think about But no matter what you can’t toss them away 2 many people can’t have a baby and like this couple will always love yours give them a chance

Her mother made the ultimate sacrifice, leaving this precioius baby in Safe Haven and it was God's purpose that this first responder found Zoey and he and his wife were able to adopt her with no problem and now, Zoey can have a happy and beautiful life and a family who loves her very much and her parents can have the beautiful daughter they had been praying for. God answered their prayers by giving them Zoey as their beautiful new daughter. You can clearly hear the ring of sincerity when these parents say they love their daughter. She's going to be just fine.

I wish more mothers facing unplanned pregnancies would consider adoption. Today, you have open adoptions, where you can keep in touch with the adoptive parents and know how your birth child is doing. It's not like it was in the 1950s. There are so many couples struggling with infertility that would love to adopt a baby. Please consider adoption.

I know people who have been adopted and I know women who have had open adoptions and for the people I know, things have worked out well. I have a friend who is adopted and she is EXTREMELY grateful that her birth mother chose life for her. She loves and appreciates the sacrifice that her birth mother made for her. She also loves and appreciates her adoptive parents. In most cases, adoptions work out. Of course, there is some heartache for the birth parents initially. It's difficult to place your newborn into the arms of another family, but for some women this is the best option for them. It doesn't matter whether or not open adoptions are legally binding or not. As I said, for the people I know, it has worked out well for them and the adoptive parents have been more than happy to keep in touch and provide them with pictures and updates on their birth child. I will continue to promote and encourage adoption, because I believe in it. I never "claimed" that adoption was the solution to abortion. Adoption is an ALTERNATIVE to abortion. I just said that I wished that more women with unplanned pregnancies would consider it. I know that some young women will want to keep their babies and that's fine, but that is often difficult for some young women to do because they may not have supportive families willing to assist them.
