@pavcon just for the coolness you know .... and speed a little bit more unless you have a nice edf and batt

@pyy1axs Yes, I was there at Lakeland, Florida observing the professional keenness of all those pilots. On opening day, average wind gusts were like 35 - 40 m.p.h. and despite that, all the planes navigated with relative ease.

@cool5tuff well you can supp it up.. At least I know that the 90mm EDFs now can match a P20 at less than 1/3 of the price with also great sound(ok it's not a turbine) Actually I'm building one now so for us poor guys the turbine is not an otpion but at least I can get the performance out of it

Is it really worth the trouble?? 1st the cost 2nd any speed gains more than an EDF? 3rd flying time ???

@cool5tuff way more speed my ass. the turbine powered one is overweight. The electric one is just as fast stock and even faster if you wanna go that route. In larger jets yes turbine is faster but the p20 and kolibri turbines are weaksauce.
