Part of the problem is, they've all watched enough police vidoes to know that if they start saying they can't breathe and that they want an ambulance, the police can't deny them that. So, the suspect thinks it's a stalling tactic or "get out of jail free" card. What they don't realize is that once you get medically cleared, you still have to go to jail lol. You don't get to go to the hospital in place of going to jail.
