Look into the story of Ivan Milat where a backpacker called Paul Onions needed to flee from him, flagging down a passing motorist while he was being shot at. A selfish act by this passing motorist saved his life. I would call that passing motorist in Paul Onions case as heroic . How would the driver in this situation know what had preceded the encounter? Hindsight is 20/20

3 agencies, dispatch, AND the highway cam station and this dude ran circles around all of them with his physical stamina and quick thinking. He is exemplary. This is old school police work in the best way possible. Meanwhile the rest are still trying to figure out which on ramp to use to drive to the suspects, to this day LOL. Seriously great work. I was under the impression that most if not all newer cars had central locking on them, with some engaging when you go over a certain speed, and others engaging when you take the car out of park. Heck, my 2006 Saturn Vue had that, it would automatically lock the door as soon as you started to move.

We had a guy with his gf stealing radio's from cars in school parking lot. We called police and watched them. They finally got a radio and left in their car. When they pulled into the main street the cop was arriving maybe 100 foot behind them We told dispatch and the officer pulled them over. The female jumped out of the car and ran back to the officer telling him if he didn't arrest her she would testify against her bf.

@@hb-ol9oc imo the guys driving seemed indian, and here in india, as bad as the country is, if someone is waving you in the middle of highway, generally they are someone whose vehicle broke down, or ran out gas or can't get taxi, so we give them lift to the nearest petrol station. I'm assuming that's what the guy tried to do, he probably wasn't well aware of american culture and crime there.

It is the same in the US. I believe a 15mph speeding ticket is over $200 now. Most of us know the justice system is broken. There is a Venezuelan illegal immigrant that recently got probation for murder... MURDER. He didn't even get deported. The story only got some attention when 2 months after getting probation, he carjacked a man while shooting at the man in his own car.

That one cop was amazing. He ran through all that traffic and caught three suspects on his own, and they were all going in different directions through traffic, and he was able to catch all of them. Even the car that picked up the two that almost got away. Wow, that is one determined cop!
