Literally live in Illinois and every now and then in the summer months inmates pick up trash on the side of the road. I feel like our system is a bit of a joke here. My uncle is violent and has been in and out of the same neighboring county jails and prisons for years. He recently got out after stabbing his wife in the face. They are both druggies but still, they let him out after 2 maybe 3 years and 9 months later he’s back in prison for violation of parole breaking and entering with a gun.

Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, etc. Older models as far back as the 1997 Cadillac Eldorado had it as well however because 2G and 3G networks were shut down due to obsolescence, OnStar services have been disabled. We have it on our Yukon. helped us out a few times when we got locked out.

Having worked in prisons for over 20 years I know this kind very well and they know how to create opportunities for themselves with passive/aggressive behavior as well as sporadic, direct physical altercations with others. The police had every reason to require him to get out of a lunging position before giving him a potential weapon. If he cared about dignitiy or whatever BS he was spouting, all he had to do was stop acting like he was about to attempt escape again.

as someone that worked corrections for over 14 years and some of that was hospital duty, they screwed up at the hospital. there is no reason why he was not secured to that bed either by hand or leg at all times, if you take the leg shackle off you have an hand secured and vice versa. top of that they should of gotten hospital security to help.

Currently work EMS, but I’ve done hospital security and corrections. They messed up by not having the inmate cuffed and shackled, and only having two officers guarding him. Definitely amateur hour there leaving an inmate unsecured in the hospital. Also already showing he is violent and just had an escape attempt. Stupid shit like that is why dude escaped in the first place.
