As someone who occasionally directs traffic as apart of my job, we deal with people like him literally every single day. People are impatient and also believe they’re “above” all the other vehicles waiting patiently like they’re supposed to. They’re typically stopped for just a few minutes (if that), but that’s too long for a lot of people. And we aren’t out there just goofing around or whatever, we’re directing traffic for THEIR safety and for ours and our co-workers safety. We all are licensed and thoroughly trained to be in the road and to do our job. As long as you pay attention and follow the directions you are given, no accidents happen and you’ll be out of there fairly quickly. Unfortunately there’s far too many people that think the world revolves around them and also don’t seem to use their brains. And that’s just one aspect of terrible drivers, the other nightmare in this job is just how many people simply don’t pay attention. We are required to have a bunch of signs hundreds & hundreds of feet back, all warning everyone that there’s construction work ahead, to be prepared to stop, AND that there are flaggers ahead. A lot of people either ignore these signs, or simply don’t pay attention. And a staggering amount of them are looking down at their phones while driving. All you gotta do is just pay the minimal amount of attention and like I said, you’ll not only be safe, but you also won’t be stopped/inconvenienced for very long either!

Gas isn’t cheap and I don’t see the construction companies reimbursing my gas for me to sit there while the traffic controllers have their dicks in their hand because the dump truck can’t wait 5 seconds for the cars who have already been waiting for 5 minutes to go. The state of Florida needs to start testing drivers at ahead 65 for competency/comprehension behind the wheel. The reason being that this individual being interviewed by law enforcement is clearly not remembering what he did, trying to pin what happened on the road worker which is improper. No car "lunges" by merely touching it while stopped, if the driver taps the accelerator then yes it will.

While walking a picket line, I had a car pick me up on his hood and drive me right down into the parking garage with me hanging on. I could tell he was going to do it, too. @NoJusticeNoPeace

@@william4996 There are different types of picket lines. An info picket involves handing out flyers and explaining why you're there. A soft picket involves asking people to please not cross your line, and explain why they shouldn't, and shame them if necessary. A hard picket means blocking people from crossing through. Which type of picket you use is determined by the organizers, and each has a different function and purpose. Hard pickets are generally reserved for strikes involving hostile bosses. In my case, it was a strike at the National War Museum in Ottawa. They usually had one of the workers in his full military uniform standing on the picket line to dissuade the right-wing lunatics from just running down the striking workers, but he was away that day. And when I'm on a hard picket, the only way you're getting me to move is in handcuffs or on the hood of your speeding vehicle.
