Florida man loses $15K to business email compromise in real estate scheme

A Central Florida man trying to purchase land to build a small home in Port Charlotte lost more than $15,000 in the latest reported business email compromise.

I'm a real estate agent and the title companies I work with use 3rd party secure accounts for all wiring information and communications. The customer has to use a password to access it. I can see how easily this happened, though. True evil lurks out there. So sorry this happened!
