looks quite wet. That knee-deep swamp was freaking me out. I would be worried about gators. Have a safe trip on the AT.

Yeah man, I was freaking out too haha I'm from Michigan, only been living in Florida for 6 months so I think gators are behind every bush and all spiders here are poisonous lol

I grew up in Minnesota. And the gators, snakes and spiders ARE behind every bush and they are all poisonous down in Florida.

I am from central Florida and planning to thru in 2015. I have found it so hard to find quality trails to train on. With the cypress knee swamp I would have been more afraid of water moccasin than gators.

Just curious exactly what section this was. Did you start all the way at loop Rd. and head north?

I started at the Olustee Battlefield and headed north. Its about an hour west of Jacksonville.
