Protip: heat up the nail of a thumbtack to remove it from the plastic bit... and shove the nail in where the lid handle bracket thing is...that way it has a little more bite instead of just flopping down everytime you let go of it... I got tired of practically burning my fingertips trying to flip that sucker up and grab the lid off while I was cooking. Also i found out by accident that denatured alcohol from my alcohol stove is one of the best solvents for removing the blackened bottom from burning on wood or esbit. Everyone says soap and scrub... Try alcohol. It works so good Billy Mays would be proud. Hope to see you out there on the PCT next year!

Did the Snow Peak Spork come with that little carry bag? If not, where did you get it?
@SubieLove48 жыл бұрын
Dave FivelStone Came with it

How long ago did you get it, because I called REI and apparently the don't come with it anymore... it's the Snow Peak Titanium Spork right?
@SubieLove48 жыл бұрын
Oh man, I'm sorry I totally read your question wrong. I thought you were talking about the pots and its carrying case. The spork did not. I also have a Snow Peak cutlery set that had a knive, spoon and fork all in the carrying case. I never use the other things so I just took them out and use the case for the spork. Sorry for the confusion.

Where’d you get the sleeve for the titanium spork?
@SubieLove46 жыл бұрын
Qmed Joe It came with the set of titanium knife, spoon and fork. I just took those out and use it for the spork.

Great reivew, I gave you a thumbs up, but your audio cuts out position your mic or if your using your phone try putting something in the back of the phone like a cardboard just to focus your voice more towards the mic.

What was your average pack weight for the AT?
@SubieLove49 жыл бұрын
***** It's kind of hard to say but with 5 days of food and 1 liter of water I was probably at about 25-28lbs.

TheXCcrow Hows it going XC? I didn't know you were using these pots on the AT. Did you pick up a new set?
@TheXCcrow9 жыл бұрын
Its going well. Yeah I did use that set. I didn't know that I you could put the pot in the cup. I saw you do that at the Double Spring Gap Shelter in GSMNP. I then used your method the rest of my hike. I didn't pick up a new mini-solo. I did get the SnowPeak trek 700 and SnowPeak 3 piece set.

Instead of the bic lighter, check out a “swedish fire steel”
